Summary

Ex SAS hero Rick Fuller needed a new identity. He gave the last of his cash to expert forger and gun runner Spiros Makris. The pair began a business relationship that would see them both become very rich men.

Now, Makris is missing. Rick's investigations lead him back into the depths of Manchester's underworld, then onward, to Albania. Is taking on the Albanian Mafia a step too far for Fuller?

Great series!

Loving the development of the characters. Strong plot, educational detail without being deliberate and some classic descriptive expressions. Hoping book 4 is ready to buy!

All getting silly now

Would you try another book written by Robert White or narrated by Nicholas Camm?

Seems the author is grasping around for ideas. The first of the series was significantly better than this.

Unrealistic and too far fetched

Exactly the same as my review for book two in the series "I listened to the first Rick Fuller book and enjoyed it. I then bought this and then the third. The stories are getting more and more far-fetched and unrealistic and for me, the worst thing is that every few minutes, a new chapter starts with the words 'Rick Fuller's story", "Lauren North's story" or some other chap. It's really does get on your nerves especially as some chapters are only a minute or two long and this comes every time. I don't know whether it is one narrator or three but two of the voices are that similar, it is difficult to follow. It would be far better to have a woman speaking the woman's part. This totally ruined it for me and as I said, the stories are now beyond belief".

Recording Spoiled the Story

The story was good, although not terrific, being fairly predictable in places, hard to suspend disbelief in others. I found the recording, however, to be a problem. At some points the reader was almost whispering and so was difficult to hear, but at other points he was too loud. This made it difficult to find a comfortable volume. I've listened to three of these so far but I'm not going to bother with any more as I don't find the story sufficiently gripping to put up with the volume issue.

I am so hooked, can't wait to download the next ..

in the series! This is a short one and it's not specially detailed but it's another tale of the jaunts of this little team! Spolier alert: don't care how hard you are, your eyes will, at least, mist over!
