Summary
The thrilling conclusion to R. R. Haywood’s epic Code Trilogy.
After years of confinement in the squalor of the Worldship Humility’s lower decks, the Elfors are finally free. But freedom comes at a cost and as the Elfors spill through the rest of the ship they are met with open hostility. Tit-for-tat killings and assaults spread throughout the ship and Captain Helga Sveinsson is in danger of losing control.
Yet the chaos on board is nothing to the real danger facing Helga, Zhang, Sam, Yasmine and the others. They are still in possession of the code which contains critical information: the location of a habitable planet. A new home for the last of humanity. That knowledge is power and there are people who will stop at nothing to have it.
For 120 years The Six have ruled the fleet from the shadows, controlling finance, raw materials, construction, clothing, food, water–everything. Now they have decided to flex their muscles, and those they cannot bribe they will destroy. Nobody can stand against them.
But an Elforist never backs down from a fight, and this time the stake is the future of all humanity...

Progressive decline
First book was the best, by the third was a just a mess. The story didn't have a real pay off for a trilogy with a cliff hanger that you don't care about. Either it's been left as a window to another series (which I will not be wasting my time on) or it was supposed to leave you wanting more. Wish the story telling went back to the first book.
The narrative of the characters became dull and unrealistic, I'd love to know how many times crazy Yassi, Wild Yassi was said through the three books, I'm sure it would fill a couple of pages.

Token Wokeness
Feels like the points made are forced, cringey at times, disappointing that the promise and charm of the first book isn't continued

Amazing
Again Richard has done it again
How he does it again and again .
I’ve literally listened to every book he’s done and this book made me laugh nearly cry .
Every chapter and every character is different but it’s kept me on the edge off my seat .
Colin Morgan is amazing so funny and how he has brought ever character to a individual is amazing
Well done Richard please make this into a film and hurry and write more
Thank you

As good as an audio book can get.
Excellent characters, great story, brilliant narrator.
Colin Morgan brings each and every character to life. You know almost instantly who is talking, his pacing and tone are always spot on.
R. R. Haywood as created such a beautiful array of characters, with each, however briefly appearing, having a distinct personality.

Poor
Absolutely loved the first volume, second one was ok, this one was embarrassingly poor. Glaring plot holes throughout the story. Some of the dialogues cringeworthy and story building pointless. Had to force myself to finish the story as I used up credit to buy the audiobook. Disappointed as the first audiobook was very enjoyable and one the best listens. This one s

Fast paced from the off.
The story is fast paced from the off with no real let up of pace throughout. It kept me entertained whilst on my daily commute.
Colin Morgan did another great job narrating, giving life and humour to each character.
As with all the books in the series, the language is explicit, which isn't always to my taste, but I still enjoy the stories.

Enjoyed but lots of legitimate criticisms can be made
This is a page-turner (metaphorical) but could have been cut down a lot without losing any plot or emotional impact. Can’t give lower than a 4 star as I did enjoy it a lot but if I was editor I’d had a lot to say!

Fantastic.
I enjoyed the first two books in the series but this third book was even better. The story was very well written, in fact I loved his writing style. It has been left tidily but with room for another episode - I really hope so. Colin Morgan was a superb narrator, with so many voices for the characters and fast paced energy keeping you gripped.

Another great installment
Very much enjoyed this one. I had missed it’s release and so it had been a while since listening to the series, and it all came flooding back! Colin is an absolutely fantastic narrator, he brings the book to life and takes you on the rollercoaster of emotions written into the pages.

Best one yet👌
I was back and forth between 4 and 5 stars for this book but decided I'd go with 5 cus i really did enjoy the story and it had a great ending. The issue i have is the dialog, same as with the 2 previous books. Haywood tends to continually repeat things over and over which can get a tad annoying but not so much where i think it should affect the rating. The dialog between his characters is sometimes a little corney as well but honestly not as bad in this one as the previous 2 so i decided on giving it a soft 5. I think this story really grew into itself and by this point in the series it was at a fever pitch and the author really brought it home in the end. I really enjoyed it. By the last line in the book though it seems to have been left open for a continuation of the series. I hope he does continue it cus I'm definitely invested by this point.

wonderful story
the story and performance are once again top-notch. I hope there is room for one more story, but I would be satisfied if it ended here.

Really, politics?
Literally dropped halfway through because of the author’s intense need to deliver a treatise on their personal politics. Poorly timed.

Great series!
I waited until I finished the three books in the series so far (hoping for more!) and this is a quite enjoyable journey through space. Excellent character development and personalities and many odd twists and turns which can turn your head at times.
Though I find each character nuance interesting my favorites are a few of the side characters and their odd personality traits and how the author brings them together to make everything seem normal. A lot of great humor in a number of different scenes.
Top ratings on story line, character development and performance!

Thrillingly raw and intense, raucous and righteous
The depth of characters continues through the trilogy, thanks in large part to Colin Morgan’s gifted and delightful voice acting. He’s able to bring tenderness, respect, and a sense of safety to otherwise abhorrent scenes (DV trigger warning). While the storylines are fairly predictable, it’s a wonderfully fun sci fi adventure and study of social dynamics.

Spectacular!
what a great story. this has been some of the best science fiction writing I've ever come across. The author has weaved in multiple storylines with a huge cast of characters masterfully.
not only that, but the narration has been unbelievably great. this certainly deserves some form of recognition.
can't wait for the next one!

Wow is all I can Say!
This is one of the best series I have ever enjoyed! A gripping tale in space that hits at the heart of humanity. You will laugh. You will cry. Mostly, you will not want to stop listening! The production and performance are equal to the story! The tale is on par with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Don’t miss this one. I sure hope that the story makes to the TV! Can’t wait!
