The third and final book in The Nightfall Saga, the thrilling and action-packed epic fantasy series set in the world of The Demon Cycle, from Sunday Times bestselling author Peter V. Brett

"Heart-wrenching, smart, and modern … The Desert Prince has set a new standard for fantasy."–Wesley Chu, author of The War Arts Saga

He is known as The Prince of Lies. The Father of Demons. He is Alagai Ka, the Demon King.

Though humanity won a hard-fought victory in its war against demonkind, the Demon King has escaped in search of a new queen to restart his dark hive, and has found signs of one on a distant shore.

But pursuing him are humanity's best hopes: Olive Paper and Darin Bales, whose legendary parents brought demonkind low once before. Olive and Darin will not rest until the demons are defeated, and so relentless is their hunt that they have followed Alagai Ka across the sea to a strange new land.

There they discover a culture unlike any they have never known, where demons live alongside humans as servants and companions. And there they meet the demon's masters–including a seductive prince who is drawn to Olive – who seem unable or unwilling to understand the danger they are in.

Because no human is safe from the Demon King's thirst for war – and every human must join the battle against his kingdom of death.

I liked the plot, was a bit shallow here and there but I couldn’t stand the voice cast, especially the Darin Bales actor who sounded like he was gonna cry anytime now. Over emotional about every word with that weird accent. Terrible.

Story is fine but the voice cast is terrible

Hooked from the first chapter. Mr Brett has continued to expand his world, characters and magic system. Consistently surprising and enchanting me with each book.
Wonderful, thrilling and beautiful.

Mr Brett is a master of his craft

Have been a long time fan of Peter V Brett and loved the Demon cycle, lot track of how many times I’ve read and listen to them. These newer books I was reading more for the nostalgia but it wasn’t until this book that I found myself fully invested and eager for more. Really looking forward to the next book and will relisten to this one again.

Really enjoyed this

I'll admit after being enamoured with the original books, I struggled to get into this follow up set. However the more I've listened, the better they became. My biggest gripe with this book is the voice actor for the demon king slits between being loud and mumbling making these chapters almost impossible to understand.

Enjoyable Story. Difficult to Hear
