I really really enjoyed this book great story realy good narration I like the characters it made me want to know how they all ended up

It took me a little while to get into the story ( being introduced to so many characters), but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed the adventures taking place in Compton Magna.
The narrator suites the story and was pleasant to listen to.

Brilliant characters, with the exception of a very irritating Pip ! Fab story and great narration. Had to keep on listening.
The characters were very well described and well rounded, so many traits that filled in a wonderful picture of them.
Looking forward to the next book about this glorious village life.

A delight to hang out in horsey heaven again. Slightly spoiled by the narrator’s caricatures- thoroughly undermines any romance and gets in the way of any attempt at characterisation.
Please commission the sequel, Audible!

It's not often a book makes me chuckle to myself as I'm listening but this one really does, it's the little details and quirky jokes that make this something special. I was new to Fiona Walker so I was pleased with this real find. It's a gem of a book and Jilly Bond is really bringing out the humour.
