Having gone through the angst of teenage years with my three children, I can t help but feel that this is rather a significant piece of writing, other than being a darn good and entertaining story. It addresses the subject of cyber bullying, more and more frequent in this technological time, and the almost overwhelming adoration many teenagers feel for their favourite band, which I can remember myself from the days of The Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Now, however, the scene becomes darker, with teenage suicides from all sorts of causes, cyber bullying prominent amongst them, a too frequent happening. I found the book something of a revelation. I am going to buy it for my daughter who has two young teenagers.

When I first started reading it it seemed too close to the first book, however as it developed I really got to like it. And obtaining audible through Kindle Unlimited is an excellent way of getting extra books! Will undoubtedly try number 3!

What did you like most about The Blissfully Dead?

I enjoyed this book immensely. I found the characters, story and narration superb.
From one suspect to the next, I was absorbed from start to finish. This is a great book
And the best I have heard in a very long time.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters were very good, I could visualize them clearly and have empathy with them.
The murders are very absorbing and shocking. The suspect changes, from one to the other and in all cases, believable.

Have you listened to any of Simon Mattacks’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, I have not heard Simon Mattacks before, but he is really outstanding. I usually hate readers trying accents, I would rather imagine it myself, but Simon's character and accent changes are brilliant.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I do not want to ruin the story for others, but, the murder of one of the team is really gripping.

Any additional comments?

I listened to this book every free chance I got, Authors, Narration performance, fantastic. I highly recommend this book.
