Ready to escape the 9-5 and find a new way of living? Learn how to live more and work less with the revolutionary book from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Tools of Titans.

Forget the old concept of retirement and the deferred-life plan, there is no need to wait, especially in unpredictable economic times.

Whether your dream is escaping the rat race, building passive income, travelling the world or creating a remote-working lifestyle, this book will show you how.

In The 4-Hour Workweek, entrepreneur and bestselling author Tim Ferriss shares the practical steps he used to go from earning $40,000 a year and working 80 hours a week to earning $40,000 per MONTH while working just 4 hours a week.

This step-by-step guide to financial freedom reveals how to:

  • Outsource tasks and automate your workload
  • Eliminate 50% of your work in 48 hours
  • Build more freedom, flexibility and work-life balance
  • Trade a long-haul career for short work bursts and frequent ‘mini-retirements’

This updated edition also includes:

  • Practical tips and case studies from readers who doubled their income and reinvented their lives
  • Real-world templates for eliminating email and negotiating with bosses and clients
  • Lifestyle design strategies for thriving in uncertain economic times
  • The latest tools, productivity hacks and high-tech shortcuts for living like a diplomat or millionaire without being either

If you want more freedom, flexibility and control over your time, this is the blueprint.

Would you listen to The 4-Hour Work Week again? Why?

Yes because it is inspiring

Any additional comments?

I loved this book, it is fantastic and its incredibly inspiring. Unfortunately Ray Porter disengages me and his americanisms; the monotone nature makes me want to turn it off.

Loved it but...

Tim Ferriss is an interesting guy and the four hour workweek is a very interesting book.

Firstly let's deal with Ferriss. He is one of life's great achievers. He is an author, entrepreneur, angel investor, and public speaker. In addition he is a tango and kick boxing expert! His book is full of 'how to' ideas. How to start your own business, how to make use of internet technology, how to use a virtual PA, how to make better use of your time, how to make contact with busy and important people, etc, etc. You may not feel that you can follow the 'Ferriss instruction book for life' in its entirety, but even just picking up on one or two of his ideas will make a positive difference.

Buy the book, it's only £3.99 and it will change your life!

Would you try another book written by Timothy Ferriss or narrated by Ray Porter?

Would definitely try another Tim Ferris book but would be better if he read it - I have subscribed to his podcast which is really good

What did you like best about this story?

His story, some of the fundamentals such as Pareto's Law (which is very old hat but Tim puts it into context really well)

What didn’t you like about Ray Porter’s performance?

Not necessarily his fault, but reading our every web address (URL) in full becomes painful after a while - e.g. https://www.fidelity.co.uk/investor/ei/login.page and every company had an associated 1.800 number.......

Was The 4-Hour Work Week worth the listening time?

Only managed about 1 1/2 hours - that was good

Any additional comments?

Could be so much better if, as Tim tells us to do, he cut out some of the fat and unnecessary distractions!

Would be much better read by Tim!

Where does The 4-Hour Work Week rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's my favourite audiobook so far (I'm an audiobook newbie).

What did you like best about this story?

The simplicity, just-get-it-done attitude with a lot of humour.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I haven't heard Ray Porter before, but he's an excellent narrator. Great pace, tone, voices.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found the book really funny, and am probably now the local crazy lady since I walk to work.
