About this listen

A wedding should be fun . . . right?

The Princess Bride meets Travis Baldree in Tea You at the Altar, the third cosy fantasy in Rebecca Thorne's bestselling Tomes & Tea series. Our sapphic adventurers must navigate the ultimate maelstrom – their own wedding!

Kianthe and Reyna are finally ready to walk down the aisle. This feels so right, but their plans are going all wrong. Pirates crowd the town, Kianthe’s estranged parents invited themselves, the baby dragons are causing mayhem – and they might run out of tea. Yet the truth overshadows everything . . . for their wedding has nothing to do with marriage, and everything to do with overthrowing the vicious Queen Tilaine.

But the Queendom’s secret heir would rather manage a hive of bees or study city planning than take the throne. As the big day nears and the coup unravels, Kianthe and Reyna must rely on each other and their friends to survive the experience. Six days until they say ‘I do’. Six days until the Realm changes for ever . . .

Critic reviews

Once again Rebecca Thorne has executed one of the best books I will read all year
Funny, tender, with great political intrigue . . . I love this series. So so, so much. It’s like a warm hug
I simply wanted to devour this book, and basically had to force myself to read slower and truly savour every delicious chapter

This is another good story in this delightful adventure of dragons, queens and magic, and not forgetting the best tea shop anywhere.
Excellent narration, a pure joy to listen to. 🎶

absolutly love it, easy listening but engaging enough that you want to listen till the end. narration is just right, both consistent and done well. I truly can't wait for the 4th and final instalment.
Nothing but compliments to both the author and narrator.

Reina and key are back baby ! antics , adventure and of course puns wive baby dragons!!!!!! if you haven’t downloaded the series, where have you been? Voice acting is great so many different characters and so many different voices you can tell all of the characters apart if you’re looking for a cosy comfy read with cliffhangers I recommend the series!

'Book 3', in the 'Tomes and Tea' series ! Book 3 isn't quite as good as Book 2 but is still a great listen. The narrator doesn't always differentiate our two MC's very well so you can't always work out who is speaking, still JT does a really good job !
I like that the other characters join the pair, this 'jumble' of characters are necessary to the story. This has been an excellent series and I like that once again we get an 'epilogue' that is an aside to the main story (almost like a bonus). Beware this ends with a cliff-hanger so be prepared to buy the last in the series, I will be !

Book 3 !
