Summary

I have listened to a few series created by Mari Carr now, and I think they are all fantastic. She writes very sweet romances, concerning everyday kind of problems couples encounter. Casey has had a devastating blow to her family life when her mother who was clearly the heartbeat of her family passed away suddenly. Casey is now dealing with running her family's farm basically on her own because her father is not handling his grief well while her younger 18 year old brother is getting into trouble more than helping her with the farm. Casey who is extremely overworked and overburdened trying to take care of everyone else faints into the arms of her teenage crush Levi. As soon as Levi has Casey in his arms, he knows immediately she is "the one." However, he is in for a challenge to get the very independent stubborn woman to get onboard with his "mine forever" plans. No cheating or sharing in this story, Of course, a HEA with a small blurb at the end, leading into the main characters for the next story in the series. The narrators did a great job- both are new to me.

The Storm men. I can't wait to meet them all! Mari Carr has introduced me to Levi, and he has taken a liking to Kasie. She has been working her fingers to the bone since the death of her mother and literally passes out from exhaustion. It's Levi who saves her from falling on her face, but it didn't stop him from falling for her. Now he is on a mission, not only to win her heart, but to help her family deal with their problems. But their problems run much deeper than just helping around the farm. And Kasie hasn't shared it with anyone. Will her silence cost her Levi and the farm? This is a fantastic start to the Storms. The brothers are the best at that sibling banter, but right there when needed. Levi is a sweet man, and his heart is huge. Kasie is stubborn and proud and at times, it definitely trips her up. Loved this, the way it plays out. It's spicy, it sweet, it's got the character I love to hate and a bunch I love. Loved it!

Jaman Day and Grace Noble are the story tellers and they were perfectly cast. Day brings out the alpha protector in Levi, Whenever he was around, his voice projected that feeling of a warm hug, just as I picture Levi. Noble is Kasie, and she plays her perfectly. She is scared and frustrated, grieving and falling in love. All the feels are right there. These two complimented each other and made for an enjoyable listen.

Brilliant narration from Jarman Day and Grace Noble, both bring the emotions, humour, drama and steam to your ears. Perfect
Kasi has had a crush on Levi for years. Their family farms are neighbours. When tragedy happens to Kasi, she carries on and takes on looking after the farm all by herself. Still selling her pies and fruit and smiling to the outside world.
I can tell you the story, but you must listen to it. Kasi is such a strong woman full of love and hide depth, not wanting to burden anyone else with her pain. Levi is the most gentle giant you will meet. Full of care and strength, when he realises Kasi is his, nothing stops him.

This story is a emotional rollercoaster ride, full of chemistry , heat and great characters.

Taken by Storm is the first book in the Storm Brothers series. Kasie is a prideful woman that is trying not to loose her family farm. She is working herself ragged. She runs a farm fresh stand and sells baked goods and other products the farm provides. Every day she saves a pie in hopes that Levi Storm comes by. She has had a crush on Levi for many years. Levi stops by Kasie’s stand everyday for one of her pies. Recently Levi started to notice that Kasie has become a beautiful woman. He never noticed when she was younger. I can’t wait for more Storm brothers!

Grace Noble and Jarmen Day did a fantastic job narrating this book.

I love this concept of the Storm brothers finding their one’s but just a touch. Levi Storm is the oldest brother and he has known Kasi all of her life but when she faints and he catches her it’s like it was meant to be. Levi wants to help and protect Kasi who is grieving her mother and running the family farm she is dealing with anger issues for her younger brother who is going through the stages of grief and a father who have given up and hardly comes out of his bedroom. Kasi and Levi fit they both have the same desires and the sparks fly. Loved this book and can’t wait to continue with this series.
