Jarring narrator

The narrator gave the leading man a terrible and bizarre accent which kept changing

refreshing

a fresh point of view on the fantasy genre. I enjoy the hero in a sword trope. the romance part does get a little strung out but it is satisfying. not too explicit.

there is an interesting array of supporting characters. however I think the prophesying bird was underused. I wish we'd heard more from it. maybe in the next book.

the story calls for a sequel which I hope we get.

Absolutely Wonderful

This book is a lovely, joyful romp through the possibilities of an enchanted sword and the woman who carries it. I loved the text so much, I bought the audiobook to listen too. The narrator is perfect!

A New Favourite

I loved this book! My only complaint is that I need a sequel and there isn’t one, at least not yet. This is absolutely now one of my all time favourite books

Oh......please listen to this book!

Let’s just say that I have had very few audiobooks that have made me sit in the car drain my cars battery. Just so I didn’t miss a word even after I arrived home. The character’s were amazing. Real and somewhat honest....their personalities are refreshing flawed. The Bird scenes had me in stitches! No spoilers..... just a funny and thrilling adventure. Please, please, please I want to know what happens next!

It was amazing!

Magical curses, A+ hilarious banter, intriguing worldbuilding! Also, Jesse Vilinsky was born to voice Sarkis.

Great narrator for a great story!

I’ve read Swortheart before and was eagerly waiting for this audiobook and this did not disappoint! Jesse Vilinsky did a wonderful job, her Halla was sweet and kind and her Sarkis accent was so wonderful it truly seemed like a different person.
Super happy with this purchase!
