I have always had a hard time falling asleep, although I sleep sounding once I finally drift off, but that can take me hours. I've read so many tips on sleep hygiene, but nothing has worked very well for me. But, this book is different. It has the sleep routine information but is also packed full of information that helped me understand the physical and mental concerns that I need to know. The science and research from Dr. Burns is excellent. I highly recommend this book.

Great book for new ideas. At 67 years of age I have been looking for this information in 30 different places and found it all right here. My takeaways were: self regulate nervous system, hypothalamus reaction to light, circadium rhythm, sleep cycles, sun gazing, foods that I should eat to help induce sleep, different breathing techniques to name a few. I now have a list of items to research that will supercharge my sleep, such as a Shakti mat, pillow cube, essential oils and the little book of Hygge! Will listen to this audiobook for anything I missed.
