It's amazing how many things will get in the way of this simple necessity as simple stressors through the day build up though it's inevitable that these challenges will show up. This book breaks down these stresses so we can remove and reduce them and then gives us some essential tips on sleep and how to achieve deep sleep quicker so you can feel well rested through the day.

Another multilayered, informational, and practical book by Dr. Burns! This guy knows his stuff. I was interested in learning not just HOW to improve my sleep but WHY his recommended tactics work (and WHY my current lifestyle doesn't support the best rest I can get). Understanding the reasoning behind the recommendations is very useful for me to motivate myself to make beneficial lifestyle changes. I recommend all his books!

I enjoyed this book and learned so much. As someone who struggles with a very irregular sleeping pattern, sometimes insomnia and other times over sleeping and fatigue, this book was just what i needed. This book was very informative and provided simple and effective solutions to manage sleep and tips on how to be more productive and add life to my days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I very much enjoyed this listen. I found new information on how to improve my sleep (for example, sun gazing). I was also very interested in the explanation of the 90-minute sleep cycle as opposed to what we usually hear about “8 hours per night” and how this changes as we age. As an R.N., and one who has always been interested in holistic approaches, I especially appreciated the inclusion of natural remedies and techniques like teas, supplements, and breath work. Many of us prefer not to rely on medication and the suggestions given were helpful and practically applicable. Exploring several of these options has given me a few ideas to try to obtain better sleep and therefore feel more rested. I am recommending this book to others who also struggle in this area.

To summarize, this book/audio is an excellent resource for anyone looking to improve their sleep quality. Each chapter is filled with actionable advice that is both informative and easy to apply, making better sleep even more achievable for everyone.

Finally, a sleep book that goes beyond the basics. The author strikes a perfect balance between science and practicality, it can be easily understood by a normal person like me haha and the natural remedies section introduced me to new approaches I hadn't considered before. Highly recommend it!
