About this listen

From A Year in the Borderlands author Kevin Candela comes another thrilling double feature, drive-in style!

In "Shore Leave", shipwreck survivors Heatherine Daniels and Sheila Grange penetrate deep into a mysterious cavern only to discover there is much more to their desert island than coconut palms, seashells, and sunburn.

Then, in "Rasputin and Fulcanelli Ain't Dead", the legendary Russian survivor and the mysterious French alchemist join forces to challenge the bizarre and harrowing gauntlet that stands between them and their objective - a magical mouth harp that compels poor Daniel, its cursed owner, to play it perpetually as he dances across fields of clover in some place far removed from our world.

The author Kevin Candela got a talent for short stories that tells a lot and a very strange imagination to top it all.
Ok the first one I didn’t get at all.
Now listening to the second:
Not for me !

Gary Bennett is one hell of an excellent narrator!

Not
recommended !

Oded Ostfeld.

The second of Kevin Candela's double bill of short SF stories, booth balancing action, humour and elements of horror. He is a good, visual writer, and narrator Gary Bennett further brought them to life, the action as cleary present as if seen in a film. But, for all that I did not enjoy this book as much as it's predecessor. Well worth the time invested, howrver: it's short, only a little over two hours, and I received my complimentary copy, on request, via Free Audiobook Codes.
