Summary

A new ship. A young crew. A dream job gone horribly wrong.

When circumstances drive Zoya and Natalya to accept an offer from the most powerful organization in the Western Annex, it looks like their ship - literally - comes in. The job fails to live up to its promise and the pair soon find themselves fighting for their lives against a booby trapped ship and its unseen master.

Will they unmask their enemies and survive their suicide run?

Enjoyable

I have combined the review of this book together with Book 3, Home Run, if interested.

Lowell back on form

Been a fan of Nathan Lowell books since they were performed by him as podcasts. Since Owners Share, this is the first time I enjoyed one of his books so much. The two protagonists finally came to their own, took charge and had an adventure. What's next?

Well performed decent Solar Clipper yarn

Emily Woo Zeller performs a good range of voice and characters.

If you know Solar Clipper stories then this one won't dissapoint. All the usual scenarios and world building are there. A spice of danger and a hint of mystery. Very Famous Five in space.

Although I enjoy the books there is one consistent irritation, and Suicide Run has it as well. The protagonists are always smarter than anyone else in the book. Sometimes called Mary-Sue where other characters lose twenty IQ points compared to the main ones. I won't dwell on it because, as always, this is an entertaining yarn.
