Summary

Book one: The Social Anxiety Epidemic

Social anxiety ruins millions of people’s lives annually; it steals joy, happiness, and life. All of this leads to major uncontrolled anger and depression. And medication only chemically alters your brain synapses to ignore the real problem: your thoughts.

Young and older people suffer from this debilitating thinking problem.

Just to give you an idea about how many people suffer from anxiety (which leads to anger and depression), just look at the stats for how many Americans are prescribed anti-depressants annually.

Here’s is an amazing idea to think about: You control your thoughts, and you don’t ever have to react to an emotion or thought you don’t like. If you can change how you look at events and think about them, you can eliminate social anxiety. It all starts with not caring, accepting who you are right now, and walking dead center into your fears and anxiety. As soon as you embrace and walk into your fear and anxiety, especially in a social gathering, it vanishes because it is just an illusion.

Book two: Anxiety: How to Stop It Before It Stops You

When you have an anxious thought about something, how do you really know that you are right?

If you think applying for a job is a waste of time, then how do you really know that you won’t at least get an interview because you match exactly what an employer is looking for? How many people and circumstances in your life do you avoid because you have anxiety about them and you simply “reason” them off in your mind?

People with anxiety disorders exhibit a number of symptoms, including heart palpitations, clammy hands and skin, dry mouth, shortness of breath, nausea and upset stomach, headaches, and dizziness. Individuals suffering from anxiety may go out of their way to avoid anxiety-inducing situations, and it may interfere with their ability to attend or perform at school, work, and social functions as a result.

This book will teach you how to identify various anxiety disorders, their symptoms, and various short-term and long-term treatment options to help you overcome anxiety disorder and start living a healthier and more fulfilled life today! You will find inside:

  • The definition, symptoms, and treatment options for generalized anxiety disorder
  • How a flawed system of belief leads to anxiety and how to use cognitive behavior therapy to replace cognitive distortions with healthier thought processes
  • The definition, symptoms, and treatment options for panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and phobias
  • How a licensed therapist can utilize exposure therapy in a clinical setting to help patients face and overcome fears in order to live a more fulfilling, happier, and productive life
  • The links between anxiety and depression - what they have in common and what separates them

Great book to work thru.

I have gone thru a lot of therapy myself for anxiety and depression. This book combines things I learned from both therapies into the one. It is a great book for someone to work thru their issues if they can not or will not seek a therapists help. It could also be used with the therapy. It is a great book and has places to write your thoughts and work thru exercises in the book. It really is a good workbook, using the best and most current therapies. It really is a great book!

Great for someone with Anxiety

A great book on how to reduce anxiety. Some people do not realize how much "stuff" they
carry around until they read a book like this one. It is well written and easy to understand.
There is a workbook with it. If you suffer from anxiety try this great book!

Great and love so far!

I knew I was feeling typical mom stress and that I tend to be a bit of a worry wart, but I didn't realize just how much anxiety I carry around until I read this book. WOW. I can relate to so many of the personal stories and feelings described in the book. I also realized that many of the physical symptoms I regularly experience are probably related to the anxiety.

Although this is not a long read, it did present some topics that I can and will use. In the past few years I have faced a lot of changes and with those changes I have noticed my self-confidence has taken a hit.

Enjoyed learning

The most important part of this book is learning how to manage a panic attack and ride it out. It's easy to try to focus on stopping panic attacks but that just isn't realistic. Managing them and learning to cope so they aren't so crippling when they do happen is how you can really improve your quality of life. Overall, I'm very impressed and will be recommending this book to everyone.

An incredible book.

Thru this book I have finally found solution and tactics for successful dealing panic attacks and general anxiety - everything from "normal" anxiety to social anxiety.

I find myself to be a calmer person, more capable, more confident, more self-esteem.

Panic no more.

My panic attacks and general anxiety have greatly reduced (and in some situations disappeared completely) since going through this book twice. However, dont expect to listen tor a book once and suddenly be magically cured. U have to work too, u have stuff to do and try out but thankfully i found the steps easy to follow and not too demanding.

A fresh start in life

I am not saying it will all work for you, i can only give you my own personal experience. I just liked that everything was framed slightly different from other things i have read / heard in the past. It made it so much easier to understand and so much more effective.

Worth it

If you have Panic Attacks, listen to this book with a notebook close at hand. I’m so grateful that I found it. I have struggled for years with Panic Attacks and Anxiety off and on. I’ve read numerous books, taken Xanax, but wanted to actually be rid of them.
