About this listen

Some secrets should not be kept. They should be screamed.

I have a secret.

In fact, I have many. Most of them could get me killed, so my silence is the golden ticket to survival in this asylum from hell.

But my watchers don’t like it when I’m silent. They like when I scream. When I beg. When I’m a bad girl who tells the things I shouldn’t.

Maybe this time I’ll let it all out. Divulge the ugly truths and cast light on the real monsters living in our world.

Maybe my secrets will save me this time.

They’d have to because once my watchers find out, they’ll want to finish off the job my first secret started all those years ago.

Chapel Crest isn’t the place where love blooms and dreams come true. It’s where the love is violent and unpredictable. It’s where the monsters grin from the shadows and where promises are deadly.

Chapel Crest is where screams are made.

My screams.

The Boys of Chapel Crest is a dark asylum academy romance with multiple love interests, no choosing, and a heroine who is mute. Check author’s website for more information on content.

“Si sólo pudiera amar una cosa en este mundo, te elegiría a ti para la eternidad. It means If I could only love one thing in this world, I'd choose you for eternity.”

I was a gonner after that. Of all the characters, I think Stitches journey is becoming the standout. Stitches has so much thrown at him in this book, from the fallout of his stay at the facility to the truth about what he means to Everett, and my heart just broke for him. J Tipstone does a phenomenal job in this role and really showcases all of Stitches layers. I think he is even more of a romantic than Ashes underneath it all (Ashes is still my number one though).

I liked seeing Sirena's growth and her reunion with Cady. I still love Cady's sass and I'm interested to see what her role is going to become as she's definitely ruffled a few feathers. Her putting Church in his place at every opportunity never misses either. Adam is her only wrong turn so far; I mean if the Watchers and Asylum think he is bad news, thats telling you something.

There are some pretty brutal scenes throughout and everyone is learning to live with their scars; physical and otherwise. Sin also his redemption arc to contend with and the only light relief is his burgeoning bromance with Asylum. Asylum is going to weave his spell on them all and I can't wait to see it. The foreboding was also there towards the end and it was just a case of when and how. I am rooting for Sirena as she has overcome so much but that ending means everything is about to change again.

I cannot get over how good this series is and the audio & narrators take it to the left level. This is the 4th installment in the series and it felt calmer in some aspects whilst still delivering a punch. This dealt with a lot of emotional trauma and I felt the narrators handled it perfectly with the way they delivered it and also it was gently approached by K.G.Reuss with the way it was written. I love that this has set the scene for what's to come.

The narration is perfection
