About this listen

I was not without sin.

I carried my name for a reason.

Screwing things up was just part of who I was.

Sometimes people got hurt because of me.

Sometimes they died.

After being exiled from the world I’d created with my best friends, I was left to punish myself for my sins against the girl they loved.

The sins I spent hours begging whatever entity was out there to forgive me for.

But maybe I wasn’t supposed to be forgiven.

Maybe I was who I was because I was meant for something bigger than me.

Maybe I was always meant for her.

The girl with the colorful eyes who never spoke.

The girl I’d been fighting my heart on since I’d set eyes on her all those months ago.

I feared she’d hurt me. Break me.

But maybe I’d been wrong.

Maybe she was the one who’d been sent to save me.

I just needed to figure out how to get her to stop being afraid of the man I was and see me for the man I was becoming.

But I was a sinner, and I would sin again.

In her name, all things were possible.

This much I knew.

Amen.

Sinful is book 5 in The Boys of Chapel Crest. This is not a standalone and must be listened to in order. This is a dark romance with no choosing. Check author’s note for more information on warnings.

So I was given the opportunity to continue this series and I have to say that I’m still enjoying everything about it and love how it keeps developing more and more, I don’t really want to say much about the characters to not spoil anything but let’s just say I’m enjoying where this why choose is heading and are so curious for the next book 👀 and as always, the narrators absolutely smashed it and did an amazing job as always :)

Loveddd it

This series continues to be dark and twisty as Sirena and her watchers deal with the aftermath of the previous book. I am still here for the ride as more pieces slot into place with Church's backstory and Everett's influence, hints at linking to the shared universe, and Sin coming back into the fold with Mirage/Asylum hovering close by. The bromance between Sin and Asylum is one of my favourite parts; there is just something about the way Sean Masters delivers any line with the word "bestie" in it! And Bryce is starting to creep out of the friend zone with Anthony Palmini being a welcome addition to the cast; I have such a soft spot for Bryce but it looks like there is more to him than meets the eye and he won't just be there to balance out the group.

I found a couple of plot points a little confusing though, like how on earth the guys didn't twig who the villain was (I'm really starting to feel sorry for Danny Linley at this point), why Sirena didn't tell them who it was despite communicating with them, and if Cady ever found out about Sirena's attack. Cady and Sirena are so protective of each other and I thought if anything would have helped Sirena break through her mental walls it would have been that. Cady is one of my favourite characters and I really liked the scene when she admitted she wanted something for herself. Cady's relationship with the watchers is another highlight and I love their sibling style bickering. I am dreading the fallout for her character in the next book as its going to be rough although I am here for Sirena entering her villain era!

Another Dark Installment

I really enjoyed this, the redemption we wanted, it felt quiet on the darker plot due to other factors that the story needed. KG Reuss knows how to keep us on our toes.
Again the audio did not disappoint 🙌🏻
