Their story is a great start for a new series. And I love the little jumps over to Magnolia Falls.

We met Easton in 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, so I was super excited we got to get his story! And, it was an adventure for sure! Loved the push and pull between him and Henley, who is the boss's daughter and just started working for his firm. The chemistry between them is incredibly undeniable and when things heat up, they heat up!
𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑟 𝐶𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑠 lent his voice to Easton and nailed it! From Easton's tragic past to his banter with Henley, 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑟 did phenomenally! 𝐴𝑛𝑑𝑖 𝐴𝑟𝑛𝑑𝑡 is one of my favs for female narrators and she did amazingly with Henley. The wit, the sass, the way Henley was with Easton was beautifully brought to life through 𝐴𝑛𝑑𝑖'𝑠 voice. Perfect pairing!
𝙻𝚊𝚞𝚛𝚊 𝙿𝚊𝚟𝚕𝚘𝚟 has given us a small town, enemies to lovers story that will instantly pull you in. Her writing style is captivating, her characters steal your heart (pun intended!), and you get so many emotions with her stories! I can't wait for the next 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 installment!

Eastern is an attorney who is focused on his job. His goal is to become a partner in the firm. He thinks that he has everything he needs. He plays pickleball with his brothers and life is good. Until his boss asks him to mentor his daughter, Henley Holloway. And he was not ready for the feelings that she brought out of him.
Henley just graduated law school. She is going to work for her dad’s firm and doesn’t expect to be treated any differently. But the guy that her father made her mentor, ‘the shark’ is not taking it easy on her. From the moment they met he has sort of judged her because of who her father is.
But soon it seems like Henley is winning him over. They develop a fun back and forth banter type of relationship, but soon it turns into something so much more…
Henley was just the right person for someone like Easton. He seemed to focus on his career and seemed like he took life to serious. Henley made him see life differently and that there is more to life than work. I loved how their relationship developed and how they interacted with each other.
The narration was awesome. I haven’t had an Andi Arndt narration in a while, and it definitely was good listening to her again. Connor Crais has been added to my favorite lists and the two together were chemistry overload 😊
I was sad when I got to the end of Magnolia Falls, but this one definitely made up for it, and I can’t wait for the next one in this new series 😊

Laura Pavlov has stolen my heart many times before, especially with her last series, the amazing “Magnolia Falls” series, so “Steal My Heart” is an appropriate title in more ways than one, for her characters and for her readers and/her audiobook listeners, because this first book of her new “Rosewood River” series does just that and so much more. While it was sad to leave the characters from “Magnolia Falls” behind, Ms. Pavlov made it easier by leaving a connection to them, and that connection is Easton, Emmerson’s twin brother, who we met in “Beating Heart”. Easton Chadwick, a lawyer who is great at what he does, so much so he has a reputation for being a shark in the courtroom. He is a workaholic and was not happy when his boss assigned him to mentor his daughter, Henley Holloway, but he was on track to becoming a partner and he was determined to not let anyone or thing get in his way. Easton made assumptions about Henley and she quickly proved him wrong with her brilliant mind and her great work ethics, similar to his. I loved watching these two, first work together and then watch their relationship morph into something more, so much more. There was an undeniable chemistry between them and they could only deny each other for so long before giving into it, but Easton’s past demons left him broken and why he does not commit to long-term relationships and bury himself in his work. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with a perfect balance of drama, angst, some charming humor, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The Chadwick family texts were fun, and it was a treat to hear from our favorite Beefcake! As always, the writing, plot and world building are phenomenal, as are the character growth and development. Laura Pavlov, thank you for another wonderful story and start to a new series, one I am looking forward to spending more time in.
🎧📚🎧 Andi Arndt and Connor Crais were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, and they had a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. Connor Crais nailed it as Easton, grasping every aspect of his personality and demeanor, from his self-assuredness, to his broodiness, to his vulnerabilities and all in between. Arndt was just as fabulous in Henley’s role, showcasing her strengths and brilliance perfectly. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the side and secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complement each other and a performance that elevates this already amazing story to another level.
