Summary
It's been a week since the dragon Morishtomaric fell, and Sardelle is not convinced that Ridge is truly gone. With a companion who thinks he's a god and a soldier who would happily kill her, she heads back to the mountains to look for signs that Ridge survived. What they uncover threatens to destroy their country and all they care about.
Meanwhile, the Cofah emperor is furious with Iskandia over the loss of its airships and still has a bounty on Tolemek's head. King Angulus sends Tolemek, Cas, and Kaika on a daring mission that could solve both problems ...or leave them all dead.

Great story, keeps a good pace.
As much as I have enjoyed 5 of these books so far the narrator does leave me irritated. It detracts from the story for me.

Another fabulous book
The depth of the characters and the narrators talent for making them real make this book another great story from the author. Love the dragon blood series and can’t wait to hear more!

What a wonderful world
The world and the characters created are brilliant. You actually care what happens to them. Sardelle ( I have Sigourney Weaver in my head whenever she is "on stage") is an excellent character , Jaxy , Ridge, Tolomec etc are like old friends when you've got into the stories. I was sad when it all came to an end. But....I can always go back to the start and I will, they are really that good. And I'm not Ms Burokers target audience, I'm a 66 year old man but everything is so artfully created that I'm happy to " lose myself in Iskandia " regularly whilst driving. Recommended to everyone age regardless, who enjoy a good yarn.

Fantastic
Another excellent addition to the Dragon Blood series, especially liked the extra bonus bits at the end. Brilliant story & excellent narration by Catlin.

loved it
thoroughly enjoyed the book and the whole series, had my hanging on to ever word to see if they would win the battle against Evensong. will be sad when the series finishes

honestly the best one so far!
a lil upsetting in one scene but a part from that its just another tale in this series thats honestly just gotten better with time! thank you! The performance continues to bring this whole story together.

wasn't disappointed with this book a great read, now going to start 7.5 book, read all of these and would highly recommend them. Narrator was excellent too
