Many of you know the Hansel and Gretel story, even by heart; two children were abandoned in the wood by their father, cruelly tricked by their hunger, and held captive by a witch until they could outwit her into her own oven.
It's been years since they escaped the gingerbread house, and now Hansel and Gretel live alone in that same dark forest, depending on each other for family and survival. They've eked out a fair, even happy existence, but something new has come into their woods. Something dark, and hungry.
While they struggle with questions about their future and their bond to each other, they must devise a way to fight an ages old killer that stalks and terrorizes their home and threatens the contentment they've built.
