In fact, everything you need to get started is contained in this audiobook. Lodro Rinzler begins by challenging you to ask yourself why you want to meditate in the first place. (Good news: there's no wrong answer!) With your intention thus in place, he teaches you all the basics, along with advice for making your meditation practice a priority no matter how busy you are. He then shows you how to bring the wisdom and compassion you discover in meditation into all other areas of your life.

Very good intro to meditation
Short, but a good place to get started with meditation. Talks about a number of lessons learned to help get your practice going. Rinzler is young but has been mediating for many years and has also taught meditation. I believe this book is good for ages 12 thru 100; but I think it particularly talks to the 12 to 30 crowd. I ordered a paperback version for my 22 year old daughter. There are some Buddhist ideas in the book; but if you are not interested in that part the book is still very worth while. The author offers personal help if you want to get in touch with him.

A wonderful meditation primer!
This is an excellent book for folks beginning a meditation practice or those wanting support for their existing practice. Lodro Rinzler has a wonderful approach to making meditation accessible, describing how to get started and reinforce it as a healthy activity. He also describes the types of things one might experience during meditation, and how to put them into perspective.
I highly recommend this audiobook. It's narrated by the author and truly feels like Mr. Rinzler is providing supportive, side-by-side coaching.
