About this listen

“Before I start, you need to understand that everything you knew before about Simon was a lie” – Arthur.

Morgana and Unwin have kidnapped the world leaders in a diabolically evil plan that will put the lives of everybody on Earth at risk. With Simon stuck sixty-five million years in the past, they might just win.

Simon must get home. But first, he must travel through time and space. On his journey, he meets new friends and new enemies and, confusingly, old friends he has met before but not for the first time – Huh!

Vasia, stuck in a coma after being shot, discovers she has a supernatural journey of her own. When she meets the mysterious Ronan, he takes her on a trip where she discovers some startling truths that will transform her life forever.

Strap yourself in for the third installment of ‘Not Your Average Chronicles’. In a story sixty-five million years in the making, nobody or nothing is what it seems.

Being the final installation of the Simon trilogy this wraps everything up nicely. I recommend this to any reader who like adventure, humour, fantasy & superheroes all wrapped up in one series. looking forward to the spin offs.

Fantastic conclusion to the trilogy

Picking up immediately from the cliffhanger in book 2, this instalment is different again from the first two books with a lot of it happening in the far distant past. There is plenty of humour, history and mythology sprinkled throughout together with the explosive action we’ve come to expect from the series. The part with Vassia’s side story was quite heart rending. I listened to the audio version of the book and found the overall experience very satisfying.

Enjoyable romp through time

He sought revenge from Morgana for the attack on his wife but as she disappeared, Simon went with her and was transported millions of years back in time. Now his fight to get back begins!
A great tale of good verses evil and time travel combined. The story continually jumps from present day back to the land that time forgot and places inbetween, where our superhero encounters dinosaurs and their extinction, travels through space, meets the Saxons, drops in on King Arthur to fight alongside his men and makes an appearance at the G20 when Supremacy launch their attack to take over the world's nuclear weapons. Phew, that's some journey and all in 380 odd pages!
I listened to this book on audio and I think the narrator added another layer to the story, as he showed respect for the source material and used varying tones to suit the situations as they arose.
You are in for a great read, following Simon as his journey progresses. Both the continuing story and it's characters are well written and developed and the action unfolds at a cracking pace. We could really do with a Simon in our world today, it would be such a better and more peaceful place!

Great superpower story!
