About this listen

Kaylina must dodge assassins and kidnappers while revelations about her past, and power she never knew she had, stun her to the core.

She has the support of Lord Vlerion, the ranger she's developed feelings for, but he has problems of his own, and an insidious plot threatens to take him from her forever.

I really enjoyed listening to this, the writing is brilliant as always from Lindsay Buroker, exciting, funny and gripping stories with everything you want in a book. Good performance. Thank you

Fast paced gripping adventures

I really like LB's writing for her light-hearted humour and strong female characters, but this is more of her alter ego writing erotica. Full of tropes and, ultimately, on the boring side due to a very large number of scenes where they wanted to but never got round to. I really COULD care less. She lost the plot by focussing the narrative on the protagonists' sexual desires instead of the goals the heroine claims she wants to achieve.
The voice actor has improved. Her D and T sound swapping is no longer as grating and distracting as in the previous installments, which brings her performance to the front and makes me appreciate it.

not her best
