Cry Havoc.

It was a long time coming, but the wedding is over. Back to work.

Conrad has a lot in his in-tray. Douglas Geldart is dead, and in dying he confirmed that there is an organisation whose roots go deep, and whose mere existence threatens the King’s Peace. The Akademia.

Who is Homer?

Conrad has to pull at a thread which has lain buried for thirty years, and in doing so he is going to make new enemies and upset old friends.

Before he can even begin to look for Homer, there is a whole new can of curried worms: a problem with his pack of Mannwolves.

Cry Havoc is Part One of a story which is continued in Second Nature Part Two: Let Slip the Dogs of War.

Join Conrad, Saffron and his new partner, Róisín Sterling, as the Fae Knight now known as Alice leads them down a rabbit hole of epic proportions. Grab a copy of Part One and prepare to enter the mad, mad world of Merlyn's Tower.

I've loved this series but struggled with this. It's pulling everything together from a very long series and my god that means a big cast - there are some great set pieces but sooo many names and references. I kept losing track of who's who as characters returned from over a decade's worth of books. Hoping the wait for the finale won't be long as my memory ain't all that.

A bit of a tangle

I don't know how Mark Hayden does it he's a brilliant writer and this series is an epic adventure, the narration is first class as well. I wait longingly for the next instalment

Wonderful continuation of this series

I have really enjoyed the series especially as an audio book so was very pleased to see 13 a and b where to appear at almost the same time but sad to say no sign of audio for the second part...why not? However I can recommend all the series for story telling and narration..even if Mina is the most irritating woman in fiction just beating the vicars wife in Emma.

Good as always ...audio of Pt 2?

A bit anticlimactic if I'm honest and did not live up to expectations after waiting so long for it.

Not a fan of two-part stories.
