Summary

The thrilling conclusion to The Gam3 prequel trilogy!

After failing to take down the United World Government, Alan is a wanted fugitive on Earth. With nowhere else to go, he leads the Black Rose guild into the Abyss Labyrinth. But hidden agendas thrive within the mercenary guild, and Alan soon discovers larger forces at play.

The Game is a war for survival, and a solo victory is virtually impossible - Alan needs to pick a side. But what does winning even mean in the Game? Will Alan be just another sacrificial pawn, or can he find a path to success?

Note from the author: The Gam3 will be on an indefinite hiatus while a new story is in the works; but more stories with Alan are definitely in the future!

5 Stars - Just

I love these books. The full series was awesome.

I honestly felt it was rushed towards the end, Clearly a deadline or something was coming up and it needed to end. Everything just happened in the last chapter. Dont get me wrong i enjoyed every second of it, just felt it could have gone on a bit more.

There was not much info about earth and the fall out, i would have liked to have known more about that.

I feel another hour or so could have really finished this story off.

Maybe a new series from another character's point of view could be a good way to finish things off.

Great stuff.

Not as good, as the first two.

Cosimo please write more!

This was a good ending to a great series!

Cosimo has created a world that I want to know more about, and because his world is fairly unique, I have no other material to read that will scratch my itch!

This book easily is one of my top recommendations for someone interested in litrpg.

To get the small criticisms out of the way, I didn't absolutely love this book's last few chapters, and sometimes I think the plot felt forced, but in the end I really enjoyed each second reading this series, and now I'm so sad it's over that I'm seriously considering writing my own fan fiction for the first time. Cosimo, please keep writing!

Great job Nick Podehl, amazing work as usual.

Turnabout

The story had me pulled in entirely. The world was amazing, the feeling of insignificance felt, and the desire to succeed inspiring.

This series is one of the first audiobooks I have bought and I found the voice acting and story perfectly in tune.

*spoilers ahead*

The final section has less focus on the combat, and arguably goes to great lengths to develop the character of Alan greatly. His personal conflicts are weighed methodically between his two AIs as he loses one and befriends another. This final section definitely showed Alan’s growth towards his own independence.

Although the story of Alan will undergo a “long hiatus”, I wish the author the best of luck in his next series and I will be there as well. I sincerely await with bated breath for the continuation of this series.

Fantastic and intense

What a story. What a game. It’s like you could have college level courses to study the complexities and implications of this series. Must listen to it again.

The suggestion by Lambda the AI to Alan to make friends and develop relationships is what raises the 4 Star I gave to Book 2 up to a 5 Star for this book.

Keep it up Cosimo. Well done.

No you can't end it there!

Well its another one of those books that sinks in their hooks. pulling you into the character, make you enjoy and love this character. Just... to slap you so hard with a plot twist that makes you scream out, "NOOOOOOOO, you can't end it there. NOOOO..... but I want to know more." (as a single tear runs down my face) Again this was another amazing book By Nick Podehl, I just hopes he doesn't keep waiting too long for the sequel

Don't. Let the story end @ book 2

This one flew by. Felt rushed. A lot of weapon stats to fill word count. The ending was ... horrible. I mean, if he left a way out, I'll skip the next installment of Adam Ownage.

Spoiler

Some folks say wow but I say lame. I guess it needed some kind of ending. I hate the everything is a dream or not real point of view. It's just how I feel about it. Kinda takes away the character and the reality that was created and makes it into a puff of smoke. Well I'm done. I'm off to the next adventure that hopefully is real for a little while to me. Bye

Compressed.

It seemed a bit rushed, like there was meant to be more fleshing out, and abrupt, like RL stuff happened that couldn't help affect the writing of the book. It seems like a project temporarily on haitus with the full understanding that it is abandoned permanently. Worth it in the public library, but here? Not so much.

Excellent Book till the end

I absolutely loved this series. The books were great. The ending though was rushed. You could tell that the writer was attempting to get it over with. A lot storylines and arcs were cut short. So in the end I am only partially satisfied with the ending. Still worth the listen but prepare to be disappointed at the end

At least I know why a 3 is in the name now.

It's pretty much just like the last two. A bit more interesting battles, and one hell of an ending. A bit predictable, even the ending to a certain degree. The twist at the end is a big one, that gives world shattering new view, then sprinkles a bit of hope and a little motivation. Not really sure how the next one will turn out, and that's a good thing in my opinion.

SPOILERS!! >>

I'm looking forward to seeing how he builds his way back up from zero. Since he has all this knowledge now, it'll probably be a breeze for a while. Which is interesting because he earned that, instead of it being handed to him.
