Summary

BBC’s Asian Provocateur, Romesh Ranganathan recorded his debut DVD in front of a sell-out audience at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. The BAFTA nominated star takes shots at everyone from his kids to a stranger in a coffee shop. This highly-anticipated tour perfectly showcases his acerbic take on the world around him.

I have never looked more bonkers! Sat on my own on London transport, invisible ear buds, tears streaming down my face and shoulders shaking with uncontrollable laughter. Brilliant!

Very good enjoyed it

What made the experience of listening to Romesh Ranganathan: Irrational Live the most enjoyable?

Very good, really enjoyed it on a long car journey, some visual bits made it difficult for audio but they were minimal and well worth a listen.

Mediocre and unfocused

He seems unable to decide if he wants to address a social commentary on race relations or not and ends up with lukewarm jokes which lack punch or real insight.

Still uses swear words as punchlines rather then developing narrative jokes or having shirt punchy jokes. There were some excellent ties which held the whole performance together but unlike other, better comics he lacked the intellectual sharpness which really adds to the enjoyment of the jokes.

Good for a few laughs.
