This is very much the Empire Strikes Back of the Marc Dane series. Exciting and well paced, but quite bleak. I will now have to read the next one immediately to find out what happens. Which is surely a good recommendation! I would add that you probably need to have read the preceding books to fully appreciate this

Great addition to the Dane Series, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Possibly could have made more of the mimic and of Lucy’s recovery from the previous excursion but the story is again full of twists and turns.

I’m a little nervous that the next instalment might be a challenge as I was really enjoying the basic premise and didn’t feel the need to take such a big step but it certainly made it hard to put down.

As a note on the narrator Colin Mace has again absolutely nailed this one! Great collaboration hope it’s not too long until the next one!!!
