Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Rising Strong, written and read by Brené Brown.

The physics of vulnerability is simple: if we are brave enough often enough, we will fall. This is a book about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of disappointment, failure and heartbreak gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and Rising Strong our clearest path to deeper meaning, wisdom and hope.

Wholehearted

I’ve been a fan of Brene Browns work since I read Daring Greatly, probably around the time it came out. I picked up the kindle version of Rising Strong also the year it came out but didn’t connect with it at first. Now, 2.5 years later hearing her read the book to me I feel so inspired and hopeful from learning what I have. I’ve learnt so much and was already going through this process with my counsellor, I just didn’t see all the steps like this and this understanding will be so helpful. Thank you for doing the work you’re doing, it’s so wholesome and life changing.

Confused thinking.

I'm her effort to make this accessible, she tells a confused personal story, citing two friends as data and 2 years as an era. This is a cash grab by a very smart professional.

A book with great insight to emotions

I have been lately working on managing my responses in difficult times and Rising strong has given me a great insight to it. This book had been by far the best book I have read. It's my first book written by Brene Brown and I can't wait to explore the other books she has written down. Truly vulnerable in expressing her own emotions allowed me to understand that we all run sweat and are covered with dust in the arena, when we r knocked down. We all should be confident to rise up and face the battle . Thanks to Dr. Brene Brown not only for the courage to write a book on shame and Vulnerability but also for narrating it in her own voice, which made the audible truly authentic. Thanks again!

Take an honest look at yourself.

Brene Brown does it again. Real, raw and uplifting. Love her honesty and that of others.

Thought-provoking

As always, Brené delivers sound advice. She strikes the core of what it means to be a human in the modern age, shines a compassionate light on our learned behaviours and challenges us to defy the stories we find ourselves stuck in by rewriting the ending.

brene is so honest in her narrative this book has struck so many chords with me and made me realise the habits of negative story telling that can happen in our minds. Read it!
