About this listen

Darkness threatens to consume him, but nothing will stop him from keeping her safe....

Ricochet:

All it takes is one glance and I know Jordan is going to be mine.

Her sweet smile and infectious energy make me feel alive again.

She chases away the shadows, giving me a reason to continue on.

But just as I’m beginning to win the elusive beauty over trouble comes for my family.

I may be a veteran with PTSD and a member of a notorious motorcycle club, but both have given me skills that allow me to address any threat and win.

I refuse to let my past dictate my future, and convincing Jordan to trust me is a matter of life and death.

Jordan:

From the first moment that Ricochet and I meet, I know he’s trouble.

The sexy biker has a dangerous and mysterious past that scares me.

I’ve been down this road before with my violent ex and I’m not sure I can do it again.

As I get to know him, I realize he’s more than just a biker with a tough exterior.

Can I trust my own heart even though it’s led me astray before?

When danger comes, I find myself trapped in the crossfire. His past catching up with him is everything I’ve been afraid of, and I’m not sure what to do.

I know deep down that Ricochet will do anything to protect me, but can I learn to trust him even though I’ve been burned in the past?

Ricochet, what a surprise he is! Suffering since he has come home from PTSD and survivor's guilt, he has been a bit of a mess. The only place he knows he won't let his anger fly is with his twin sister. Seeing her and being with her kids is a place of calm for him. When he meets Jordan, the next door neighbor, the immediate pull lets him know she is the one. The one to win his heart and be the one that heals him. Convincing Jordan is a whole other subject. As their relationship begins to flow, life is good. That is until the unthinkable happens at his sister's house and Jordan goes to help. Suspense and romance, Cathleen Cole keeps it exciting and passionate. Ricochet proves to be a dangerous man with a heart of gold. Yes, he is both, and it's the best kind of lovable. The story flows with that thread of suspense, but when it lets go, it's so powerful! I was all in, waiting to see how things would turn out. Heart pounding until the end, I loved it!

Michael Norman Johnson and Phillipa Miller tell the story and it's amazing. Each scene had just the right amount of emotions and their chemistry let Ricochet and Jordan grow. I enjoyed their performance.

I absolutely love this series, especially the brotherhood at its core. Most of these men are former military, and the loyalty runs bone-deep. They do not leave a man behind. No matter what, a brother is there for his brother. The name Viking’s Rampage MC fits them perfectly. This is very much a series you need to start from the beginning to fully appreciate. Each book builds on the last, layering relationships, trauma, and consequences in a way that really pays off.

In the previous book, Ricochet is forced to shoot cult-brainwashed teens who are actively trying to kill him and his brothers while they’re rescuing women and children from the cult. That experience triggers severe flashbacks, and his brothers grow deeply concerned about his mental health.

Ricochet steps away from the club for a while, spending time with his twin sister, Gwen, and her kids. That’s where he meets Jordan, Gwen’s next-door neighbor and best friend. I loved the dynamic between Jordan and Ricochet. She’s the only person, aside from his twin, who he’s been able to let in and see his vulnerable side. Their connection feels earned, emotional, and real.

I also really appreciate how Cole writes her characters. She gives them grit and depth, even the side characters. Gwen’s son and daughter end up playing meaningful roles in the story, which adds even more emotional weight. Tear-jerker moments warning!

At its heart, this book is about healing, but it also delivers plenty of kickass action and seriously hot spice. And as an audiobook listener, I have to say the narrators were perfect for this story. They captured the intensity, emotion, and brotherhood beautifully.

I love this series
