Summary

Dear Listener,

Rich Woman is an audiobook on investing for women. Why an investment book written just for women? There's a very good reason. The how-to's of investing; how to buy and sell a stock or how to find a profitable rental property are the same for men and women. What's different are the unique issues that women face when it comes to money and investing.

Here are some eye-opening statistics:

  • 47% of women over the age of 50 are single.
  • 50% of marriages end in divorce. (The #1 thing couples fight about is money.)
  • In the first year after a divorce, a woman's standard of living drops an average of 73%.
  • 90% of all women will be solely responsible for their financial well-being within their lifetime.

Let's face it women, what worked for our mothers and grandmothers is not working for most of us, our daughters and our granddaughters. So now is the time for women to get smarter with their money.

My passion is to educate and encourage women to create the financial security and peace of mind they want and deserve in their lives. If that's what you want, then I trust this audiobook will be of great value to you. Here's to your success as a Rich Woman!

    With thanks,
    Kim Kiyosaki

    Better than her husbands books

I enjoyed this so much that I have brought it for relatives. I intend to listen again in the future. This is one to keep and refer back to on so many subjects.

    Inspiring!

Kim explains how investing is so perfect for women! Her book has inspired me to take action and she tells her story through her meetings with her group of friends. In the end I felt like one of them!

If you read rich dad poor dad you don’t need to listen to this

Same advice from rich dad poor dad regurgitated and all other kiyosaki books. Too repetitive it was annoying

Women are doing it for themselves...

I loved the format of this book which follows a group of Uni friends through their financial awakening. Advice flows freely and you take from it the nuggets which speak to you. I have listened to this book before but there was plenty which spoke to me the second time around. I can't recommend it highly enough to ALL women - finance really is gender specific. Who'd have thought it.

Another great book from the Kiyosaki’s

What great easy listening book, very informative as Rich Dad series, definitely a open mind book for women (and mens too) in a time that financial life is so important and the majority pretends that they don’t have to be interested in money. A must listening and reading. Many thanks Kim and Robert for all the wisdom that you give us. I wish you all the best.

    Loved it 😊

Something for everyone no matter where your starting point in life is.
I could relate to some aspect of each woman's story and it reinforced the importance of the concept that whatever you want in life there is a process, the journey, to follow that is more important than the end point.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

I got it already! let's move on

The book consists of 24 chapters, and the first 7 chapters emphasizes on the needs for women to be financially independent. While this is a great point, I was hoping Kim will get straight to the point and present solid strategies on investment. Many of her points are common sense, such as the importance of financially interdependent, pay yourself first, and don't be afraid to ask questions etc. I wouldn't recommend this book even to the beginners because of its repetitions. The book is written in story style. Does 4 women sharing a lunch date in New York City sounds familiar to you? It reminds me of Sex and the City , but the characters lacks appeal. Although I haven't listened to Rich dad, Poor dad, Kim admits that the investing ideas she learned came from Robert, and that the fundamentally important ideas can be found in his book. Save your time on this one!

    Horrible

The story was repetitive, the finance advice didn’t start until about chapter 6. I stopped around chapter 12 because the advice was just so bad. She talks about putting money aside into accounts for savings, investments, charities before paying your debts or bills that are due (which will then accrue you interest and send your credit score to the toilet). And in chapters before she talks about how you don’t need money to invest because you can borrow it from the banks! But with her philosophy no banks will give you a loan because your credit score will be ruined with her methods. Just horrible advice.

    Inspirational but lacking specific advice

Wish that there was more specific advice. Rich Dad Poor Dad is better. The conversations with her friends seem contrived.

    Too Chatty

I’m a single, busy, businesswoman. I get how backstory is important and as we women love to tell the backstory, however, this is a financial guide, or at least it sold me on being a financial guide. It’s written more like an autobiography. I don’t need to know when the waiter is pouring the champagne or the entire conversation between the Bondurant instructor and Kim. I want the meat and there wasn’t a whole lot. With that said, the stories are good, but most of it is irrelevant. I can’t even locate the website that’s referred to in the book. It seems that if you want some real guidance on how to become financially free, you have to read Rich Dad, Poor Dad as she suggests in this book. A bit disappointed that I wasted my valuable free time on so much fluff and not much substance.
