Hooked

So hooked on this story I am immediately purchasing the next. The narrator reads at a relaxed pace that really draws you in too. For lovers of fantasy fiction, I would definately recommend it

Big Disappointment

I've never read a YA Fiction book where the main character and hero of the story cried so much, shook so much, was hysterical so much and took so many showers to calm down.

Also, Asher the main male character acts like a caveman jerk in much of the book.

The plot seems to advance at a snail's pace of at all.

Dragging

What would have made Restraint better?

more action .

Would you be willing to try another one of Jorjeana Marie’s performances?

No she must have had a cold during the whole series.
No difference between characters.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yeah, it did have some action in parts.

not great

probably one of the worst YA storylines I've gotten to experience. I did download the 3rd book and am in the process of listening to it because I want to know if it EVER GETS BETTER. So far, not so much. every character is an idiot with the lamest back stories. it takes the normal YA path but does it horribly. Eve is not smart and is super whiny and has zero self preservation. I cannot stand her. Asher is a caveman that lies constantly the his "love" and then gaslight her when she calls him out. wait. I like Gage. Gage is cool. McKenna is a straight up b**** for literally NO REASON. NONE. She is just mean and everyone allows it. Eve and Asher together is awful and toxic and I cannot undertake how anyone would think they a re w good together. I just cant. they make me insane.

redundant

decent book reminds me of the Premonition Series by Amy Bartol- which is way better. The book could be a little better. There is a lot of repeated words and phases that are really annoying and odd in some instances.

Still never prepared for the end of this book😔

You do anything necessary to protect the ones you love. This books shows even with restraint destiny will kick in and rules will be broken. Even with reading the book first I still was not prepared for the ending. Jorjeana does an amazing job with all of the voices!

Unbelievably awesome!

So far I can’t get enough of this series, I’m completely consumed by it. I feel so invested in what happens with Eve, Asher and their rolls in what happens between good vs evil. I love this series so far and highly, highly recommend it to read. The only thing I don’t like is the Author is a little repetitive with saying some of the same thing’s, but I still love the characters and story line.

Eve is a pain in the ass!!

Eve is one of the most immature female characters I've ever read about...all she does is whine and throw tantrums...i found myself wishing McKenna would throat punch her...story is great but Eve may very well be the reason I don't finish this series.

Not sure

If this book was written for younger children which is surprising since there’s a lot of touchy-feely intimate scenes in it which took more time than the story actually does. Not to mention the main character describes what she does when she touches him
And it sounds I don’t know like it’s been recited
Also the main character has parts where she lifts her chin straightens her back like she’s trying to act more grown-up but then she’s kind of whiny maybe this was meant for a younger group I don’t know of course there is more than one book to the series so it must’ve appealed to someone Then of course she does have different ways of describing his chest for as many times as she mentions it they had a good story line and if they focused a little more on the story instead of a little girl’s description of somebody’s chest and her feelings it would’ve made a good story You could always fast forward to pass those parts before you forget what they were talking about in the first place
We’ll see what happens in the next one i’m not sure I’ll be able to get through it I struggled trying to get through this one it is a good book if you want a nap and not worry about missing anything- I’ll give next one a try since I really dislike not finishing a series
