Summary

Eve Collins will do anything to save those she loves, especially her gargoyle protector and mate, Asher St. Michael. With the world crumbling down around them, Eve and Asher must face the final battle between darkness and light, one that will end in great sacrifice. When the skies darken and love in its truest form is tested, would you run? When death becomes silence and battle lines are drawn, would you fight? If you had to sacrifice to save the one you loved, would you fall to fate? Would you dare to let it go?

Great ending

great endiing to the Eve's story with plenty of room to continue the story of other characters if you want to carry on with the saga. Having the same narrator for all books provided great continuity and aided in drawing you into the story as it felt comfortable and familiar. loved it.

Omg please say the next series follows gage!

this is probably the best fantasy adult series I've ever listened to. the emotions narrated come through as genuine and you forget they are gargoyles. love the swearing because in my world it brings a piece of authenticity and some things just need a swear to explain it. all characters are strong and can stand alone yet put together make a family you want to be a part of.
great narration and amazing writing!

This series was incredibly satisfying! I couldn't put them down until I finished the whole series in less than five days!

This series was an incredible find. I read them one after the other in less then five days. Intoxicating, seductively addictive, I enjoyed not only the story but even the familiar characters. Gargoyles are a fairly untapped resource for such an alluring romance series, but Ms. Cooley Wilson definitely made it work well. I'm going to be waiting to see what she gives us next, whether it's a new series or a continuation of this one, she's caught my full attention! Thank you again for an exciting week.

Loved the story...hated the reading

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

A few dissappointing things about this book..1) It's the same narrator through the whole series and she is absolutely terrible! 2) I found myself getting frustrated because I was really involved in the story and wanted to continue and see how it ends, however I found the narrator almost painful to listen to. 3) There is one additional book in this series and it is not on Audible. I actually find this happens frequently with Audible.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jorjeana Marie’s performances?

LITERALLY NEVER

Good Story. Narrator Issues.

The story was good. I loved the characters and really enjoyed the humor. However, the narrator made it a frustrating listen. I thought she had a cold while doing the first book.....but no, it continued right through to book 5. Sounds like her nose was being pinched closed. Why the "powers that be" allowed this is beyond me. She also messed up with some of the accents. One moment the character had an accent and next thing you know it was gone. I liked her voice though. Nice tone and her reading style was good. Fix those issues and I would listen to books narrated by her.

Leaves much to be desired

So many things left to wonder about. She becomes more angel than human but only uses her conger abilities once and no other abilities come out?? Come on!! Her teenage reasoning made me wanna smack her. The narrator was constantly mixing up accents, not to mention her nasally voice and annoying breathing. There’s no mention to why some gargoyles can teleport and some can’t. I wouldn’t recommend this series since I barely found the will to finish on double speed. Thankfully it’s was included in the romance package or I never would’ve gotten passed book one.

Gotta' Love Those Gargoyles

Only the romance genre could make gargoyles sensual beings that a girl could crave. Shoot, as a child I remember having nightmares about them. But then, those were a slightly different version than the lovely beings featured in this dynamic series. I was sucked into their supernatural world early on and found this epic tale fascinating and a bit frightening at times, truth be told.

All things definitely are not what they seem, and it's been hard to know who to trust. Even the great lovers Asher and Eve have their well-earned trust issues. Deceit seems to run rampant. When it's not open deceit, it's simple omission and secrets for other's "safety." Yeah, whatever. It seems like no one's ever heard the phrase, "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth."

The cousin to all this deceit is angst, and it's in good supply as well. Geez, this is an epic tragedy at times. It seems like the YA genre loves angst more than the average genre does, though, so that's not really a big surprise. But, out of the darkness comes the light, and so it does. Asher, Eve, and the rest of the clan have nothing if they don't have hope. They are strong, courageous, and fortified by their conviction to their truths. They know who they are and what they stand for, and they stand together as one to fight.

Awesome closing for this series.

Finally Done

So I made myself listen to this entire series and I must say I'm glad to see the end. Overall it was a good series but I wouldn't be interested in reading it again. There was a lot of contradictions in this last book from the other for books. A lot of missteps and just bring lady with details and why something or someone was able to appear back in the story line. I'm gonna eat a piece of pizza now and drink some soda... That should help with the time I lost listening to these books. Bye 👋

Typical for the genre, lazy writing

Story was slow, the girl didn’t really grow over the series. Most of the story is this girl just pining over a guy she already has. The fight scenes and action scenes are few and far between. There are so many over used phrases like “made my way to” and “emotion caught in my throat”. The narrator needs to spend more time looking up how to pronounce words like agate, nephilim, and a few others. Her voices were inconsistent and some very big pauses in the last book. Overall both writer and narrator need to spend more time editing and refining their work. The writer needs to learn how to cut dragging scenes and kill her darlings.

Strong and Hot!

This is my favorite paranormal series thus far. I've never listened to Randi Cooley Wilson but this series just won't let me go.

Yes the main heroine, Eve is 18 years old and thinks like an 18 year old but the story line more than makes up for her hair brain decisions. Eve falls in love with Asher, and yes he's an alpha egocentric lovable kinda guy,

The only thing I had a hard time with in the series is when Eve over hears things and Asher and his family have "expert hearing" but yet they never seem to hear Eve when she's eavesdropping. I sympathize with her eavesdropping behavior because so many of her life decisions are being made about her...to her,...yet she's not included in any of the decision making.

I also have a huge soft space in my heart for lovable gargoyles. As for the narration, Jorjeana Marie does a wonderful job at narrating each character with attitude and empathy. Sometimes I found that her Irish accent for one character bled over into another characters voice, but she's very clear and easy to understand. I also LOVE Uncle Uri, big, bad and funny.
