Summary

In this sound bath experience, renowned sound therapist, meditation teacher, and author Sara Auster harnesses the power of peaceful sounds and quiet guidance to help calm your mind and relax your body before bed. Linger softly in the pre-slumber state as Sara helps you access a gentle transition into restful sleep. She will guide your breathing while playing a variety of soothing, overtone-emitting instruments, including tuning forks, crystal singing bowls, and more. Sara has specially designed these recordings with the intention for rest and, ultimately, sleep.

In order to get the most out of your listening experience, she recommends you dim the lights and lie down or sit in a comfortable position with an eye mask and a blanket, silence any alerts or notifications, and use earphones. These things allow you to completely unplug and connect with the present moment to intentionally prepare for sleep. Your body has permission to slow down and rest, to receive without the need to respond or react.

Begin your experience by focusing on your breath, then allow yourself to drift into a spacious and dreamlike state. All you have to do is arrive with an open mind, and listen.

Sara Auster is the leading voice in sound bath experiences, and considered a pioneer and master of the form. Sara has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue, TIME, and O, The Oprah Magazine, and she has facilitated large-scale, site-specific sound bath experiences at iconic venues around the world including the Museum of Modern Art, Madison Square Garden, Palais de Tokyo, and SummerStage in Central Park. Her live sound bath events are celebrated as transformative, therapeutic experiences for balance, relaxation, and well-being. We’re thrilled to be able to bring this unique sound experience to the comfort of your own bedroom for the first time.

Avoid if sensitive to noise in my opinion

Probably great for a lot of people but as I am sensitive to noise I found the tones painful to listen to right from the start.

Dog hated it too

This gave me the heebeegeebees. Designed by someone who hasn't a musical bone in their body, the tones are just irritating and at odds with anything that I consider to represent relaxation. I really didn't enjoy the experience at all.

Unpleasant noise

I did not persevere with this - I didn't like the sound and in fact did not mean to purchase it at all after listening to the sample.

Annoying tone

No. Not relaxing at all. Constant shrill electronic tone like a heart machine when a person dies. Cannot remove from my device either.

Sounds like tinnitus

At first I thought something was broken. These are the kind of sounds you try to get rid of, not listen to on purpose.

Yup.

Not really a sound bath and/or meditation person. But I am so mellow right now after listening to this.

The sound is too much

I gave it a shot, figuring it was just probably some old geezers complaining about the noise, but it really is annoying. Could’ve achieved a more relaxing tone with a better thought out synth. Anyway, just breathe through your left nostril for 10 minutes is the basic idea.

Music For The Soul

This was really a treat! I loved listening to Sara’s voice guiding me in this practice! Although brief, I felt totally immersed and very relaxed. Thank you Audible and thank you Sara Auster. Looking forward to being able to hear more.

Waste of ti.e

Breath through left nostril...Dong ding...then over? Total waste of 10 minutes! Was more awake from frustration afterwards...

Wonderful

If you haven't tried a sound bath before, what a wonderful intro this is! Sara's talents are such a gift and this is such a good way to take your mind off everything and let your body and mind fully relax. Thank you!
