Summary

Having saved the distant world of Caeles and its interstellar empire - not to mention the life of its ruler, Queen Dornoccia - Jim (aka Kid Sensation), returns to Earth with two notable prizes. The first is his long-missing grandmother, the alien Princess Indigo. The other is Queen Dornoccia’s great-great-granddaughter, Myshtal, who is a princess in her own right and a budding superhero. And thanks to the machinations of the queen, she’s also Jim’s titular fiancee, a fact that puts something of a damper on Jim’s relationship with his girlfriend, Electra. It also doesn’t help that Myshtal is breathtakingly beautiful, personable, and witty - and lives under the same roof as Jim.

As if his life wasn’t complicated enough, Jim suddenly finds his world invaded by a doppelganger - an unknown individual who looks so much like him that he is even able to fool those in Jim’s inner circle. Even more disturbing, he also mimics Jim’s incredible slate of superpowers.

Framed for crimes he didn’t commit, Jim is forced to seek out his lookalike in order to prove his innocence. However, as the depth of his double’s malevolent plans are revealed, Jim realizes there is far more at stake than simply clearing his name. Now, Jim faces the formidable task of attempting to stop an adversary who not only looks and thinks as he does, but also seems to match him power for power.

Another super hit for a super series!!

The thing I like about this series is you can never tell were the roller coaster ride of a story is going to take you.
This book continues from were book five (Coronation) left off with Jim having returned to earth with his alien Grandmother and fiancee. The problem is he already has a girlfriend on earth and a date set up with another teen super hero. In this sort of situation most people would wish they had a body double but when Jim finds out that is exactly what hes got things get really complicated and they were bad enough before. It's only when the body double starts to hurt people Jim cares about that Jim finds himself in a sticky situation and all the super powers in the world might not be enough to get him out of this one.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one in the series.
The narrator once again does an excellent job and I hope he will still be the go to guy for the next kid sensation book.

Jim's mysterious double is causing endless problem

Jim's mysterious double is causing endless problems for him and the other supers. Jim is framed for a number of crimes which he couldn't have committed, but being both a speedster and teleporter, his alibis are deemed useless. However this is nothing to the trouble he's in with his girlfriend, Electra as he returns from Caeles with a 'fiancee' in tow.

Just Loving it

Despite some reviews I enjoyed the evolution of Jim's character and the situations he finds himself in, without too many spoilers his interactions with Grey were well done and it means a good story development of where Kid Sensation could bring his conscience to bear and also still experience normal teen problems as his peers. The usual trademark twists were also present to keep us on our toes. Narration as to he expected was excellent so overall another throughly enjoyed audio.
I requested this audio and as such have left my thoughts on this for everyone.

Will Kid/Jim prevail💛

Another great addition to the Kid Sensation series.
I dislike Grey soooo much which just proves how great Kevin writes! The replication concept adds a surprisingly emotive facet to Kids world.
As always highly entertaining and a pleasure to hear.

Another interesting story

I find the stories continuation interesting and growing just live Kid Sensation's powers keep developing. This is a 16yr old having to deal with Superpowers and being expected to act as a Adult because responsibility comes with Superpowers. He does a great job but makes mistakes along the way because he is just a 16 yr old kid.

Exhilarating and fast paced

They say everyone has a doppelganger, but what would you do if you came face to face with yours? Would anyone noticed the clone wasn't you? In this book that's what Kid Sensation has to face. I love the fact that he has a great support system in this seeies, and that he's never predictable. I'm always on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what happens next. Definitely a must read series that will keep you entertained. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook, and this is my honest review.

Solving a possible problem may cause worse issues

I have listened to each audiobook of this series, and each has given me drama and entertainment pleasure.
This particular one, points to what stupidity can exist in people in authority. That they don't seem to have the bigger picture in mind, but the narrow minded ideas of those who conjure up a solution, without understanding wider implications being caused by the said solution.
To create a replica of someone, like Jim, alias Kid Sensation, sounds good, as you then have someone to cover situations should the original person end up on another realm. However, Jim had very strong commitment and ethical standards taught to him by his mother and grandfather. Without these standards, someone with the same power set could mean very grave things for our world.
I admire the narrator of this series, his astonishing rendering of the tale, with various characters vocalizations causes the whole story to come to life.

Super exciting and can't wait for the next one!

Replication by Kevin Hardman and narrated by Mikael Naramore is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. Wow, this is my favorite so far! A clone (from the black ops government ) of Kid Sensation is causing chaos! Kid Sensation finds he has a new power! Exciting and action packed! Lots of twists and surprises come up in here too. The end of the book really intrigued me into wanting the next book now! Love this series with all the great characters and never a dull plot!

I'm not sure why this one is the worst one

but I definitely didnt experience the frustration I felt in this book in the previous ones. the main character is an over examining idiot who talks like an old man from the 50s. at one point he goes to order food after coming from a meeting about his evil twin and when the woman at the counter says he just ordered instead of realizing oh my evil twin must have been here. he monologues for five minutes about how he didnt order yet. just get to the point with the story. this book was unbearable I hated it.

Good read

My seventh read from author Kevin Hardman. Well-written super-hero sci-fic/suspense, with well-developed characters. With each book Hardman writes the story-line gets more enticing, drawing the reader deeper & deeper. Again narrator Mikael Naramore’s talented narration adds greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I’ll be reading more in this series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)
