About this listen
Everyone knows my face. No one knows the real me.
All people see when they look at me is a beautiful man, a supermodel, half of the world’s most famous twins. No one sees the man underneath.
When I return to Forestville, the small town I grew up in, for my high school reunion, I impulsively decide to stay.
I’m now the proud owner of a house, an absolute fixer-upper. Never mind that I have two left hands.
Thank god for Cas, the local contractor, who agrees to help me out. We come from completely different worlds and are almost 20 years apart, yet we somehow connect.
Cas sees me, the real me.
We hook up.…
Then become friends….
With benefits (courtesy of a snow storm)....
And a fake relationship (long story)....
But when fake becomes real and pretending turns into feelings I can’t deny, I’m left wondering if what we have stands a chance.
Renovating the Model is the first book in the new Forestville Silver Foxes series, a contemporary small-town MM romance series featuring hot silver foxes and the men who fall in love with them. Each book can be listened to as a standalone.
Wonderfully described to the point I could visualise these silver foxes, seriously could they get any hotter.
I loved how the main character had a learning disability and it was handled beautifully.
Michael Dean did a great job narrating this book, which he always does, which helped bring the characters to life and a whole new immersive experience.

After not read or listen to a book by Nora Phoenix, I am glad I picked this one up.
It has all I like about many of Nora her work; older main characters, nods to her Dutch heritage, food descriptions and character developments.
Tiago and Cas seem to have insta attraction and boy are they a good match. I love how caring, empowering and protective Cas is towards the older Tiago, who is worldfamous but still insecure due to his dyslexia.
This mm age gap small town love story hit all the right spots for me.
This is the first book in the new to me Forstville Silver Foxes series. After having read parr of this one I had to one click the others which are available.
Audiobook:
Michael Dean is on form with the narration for this series. If possible it brings that extra on top of an already very good story.
5*
