About this listen

The Legion has landed....

The Republic world of Kima has fallen with shocking speed to the renewed forces of the Mid-Core Rebellion, and General Chhun must lead the rebuilt and enhanced 131st Legion - along with Marines, Dark Ops, Navy, and Kimbrin Resistance - onto the planet to violently check their assault.

But timing is of the essence, and Chhun can’t do it alone. Bear, working undercover, unearths the treachery of a resurgent Nether Ops still working their dark influence from the shadows. Masters has his hands full just staying alive while he evades deadly pursuers. And Keel finds himself swept up in intrigues that may make the planetary takeover of Kima all but insignificant.

The battle is fierce and hard, but victory is always within reach so long as the Legion - remade to its initial purpose - remains to fight.

Firstly I love this series and recommend it to everyone.
this book however is hard, it flip flops between too many new characters in a balls to the wall book that has no time for thr brain to process.

Great series but.

The narration by RC Bray as great as ever.
The story line has opened up some context on a number of characters but the lengthy and micro details of the battle screens got a bit bogged down and could skip a chapter or two without missing much of the story.

Great narration, but …

less time explaining all thr weapons systems and more time on KTF and character development. Half this book is just explaining Weapons systems and endless squad comms banter. This is not the USA marines, these are legionaries a bit more professionalism would be good. When in doubt think what would Rex say on the comms and write that. like in the book the 100.

good not great

Another great instalment in the series, a very enjoyable listen. It does jump around a bit around the characters so you can lose focus on the story if you aren't giving your full attention, but it's a necessary part of how the story flows so it's worth it. A good cliffhanger thrown in as well means you'll get drawn in for the next one

Another good one!
