I am a fan of Sonja, Gail Simeone, and Felicia Day, and this audiobook of 'Consumed' is the perfect match of all three.

Simeone writes a Sonja tale which will delight fans of old, while making it an excellent introduction for new readers.

And Felicia Day's performance is simply stunning. One of the best audiobook readings I've experienced.

Here's hoping this is the 1st of many collaborations!

Having just consumed (ha) this amazing novel it's an incredibly easy decision now to say I will be buying every single novel Gail Simone will ever write.

Gail Simone is one of my favourite comic writers and she seems to have mastered prose with alarming ease too. I'm less familiar with Sonja herself but I found this a great, action-packed and character rich adventure with Felicia Day showing her skills whether narrating or portraying the good, the bad and the creepy aspects of the cast.

I was expecting a higher standard of story and narration. The voicing of the male characters sounded bored and tired at times, the story was pretty predictable and weak. Pretty poor world building too. Just felt like it was trying too hard at times.
