About this listen

Winter. War. Chaos.

As Elder turns against Elder and riders clash, Holt and Ash fight to protect the people of the Fae Forest as Thrall seeks to blight every creature within it. On the front lines their only real aid comes from Holt’s new lunar blade, and a dangerous new ally whose claws cut both ways.

In the west, Athra and Risalia have dragged Talia into war. She can’t bring peace without pain; told she can’t be a rider and a queen; torn beyond duty and her dream beyond the dream. There are no good options, not without becoming the monster her enemies claim her to be.

Rake and Osric have missions of their own, one to right their past, the other to confront it. Both will step out of the known world, to the Green Sea of the east and beyond the desert’s end; both hunted by new scourge of immense power and skill.

Few will survive.

The reckoning has come.

I've really enjoyed reading Reckoning it was a amazing continuation of the story picking up right were it left off in book 3 and was well worth the wait. One of the best parts for me was seeing how the characters from the previous book continued to grow and evolve. It also felt rewarding to follow all the characters journeys and see how past events are still shaping their choices while keeping true to themselves especially Holt and Ash. I'm genuinely excited to see where things go in the next book, especially after how this one ended!

I've also listened to the audiobook version of Reckoning and found it absolutely amazing and has becomemy favourite out of all the book currently. The audio really brought the characters to life and added so much emotion and really fit each of their characters perfectly It made the experience so much more immersive and engaging.

If you’ve also been following the series, Reckoning won’t disappoint. It deepens the world, the characters, and the conflicts in ways that feel both satisfying and promising for what’s to come until then ill definitely be re read this and the previous books a few times until the final volume is released.

I am so happy that I found the Songs of Chaos series. I just finished Reconning and WoW, what a journey! Those books grow on you and the whole family is enchanted by the story. We even discuss the books over dinner. Well, now the big and long wait begins for the 5th book.
Once again, thank you and Peter Kenny for the journey and I cannot wait for the last book from the series!

Regards!

Amazing journey! Thank you, Michael and Peter!

It was said in the foreword, there are a lot of perspectives in the book, telling the story. I have to say I found every one of them interesting and engaging. Often with multi-perspectives you feel frustrated to have one story put on hold to jump elsewhere, but that is not the case here. Its been a delight to rejoin the characters from the previous books for their continued adventure. Every one of them have grown dear to me, even those I didn't expect.

Many threads, all engaging
