Summary

Every table at Quentins Restaurant has a thousand stories to tell: tales of love, betrayal and revenge. Ella Brady wants to make a documentary about the renowned Dublin restaurant that has captured the spirit of a generation and a city in the years it has been open.

In Maeve Binchy's magical Quentins, you will meet new friends and old: the twins from Scarlet Feather, the Signora from Evening Class, Ria from Tara Road, and a host of fresh faces. There is Monica, the ever-cheerful Australian waitress, and Blouse Brennan, whose simplicity disguises a sharp mind and a heart of gold.

Presiding over Quentins are Patrick and Brenda Brennan, who have made Quentins such a legend. But even they have a story and a sadness which is hidden from the public gaze. As Ella uncovers more of what has gone on, she wonders about the wisdom of bringing it to the screen. Should the restaurant keep its secrets?

Maeves Magic

Quentins weaves in (and out of) some of Maeves finest characters lives and is a fantastic listen for anyone. Like a bowl of hearty soup it warms and comforts and I really recommend it.......a great accompaniment to an afternoon of knitting, sewing or just plain indulging in relaxation. Another very clever story from the lady who writes as though she is having a chat with you personally!

Brilliant

Just listened to this straight after Maeve Binchy’s Evening Class. The characters flow straight into the next book as well as introducing new and interesting people.
You feel empathy for the story lines and really look forward to hearing how there lives work out.
Just downloaded Scarlet Feather to continue the storyline and can’t wait to listen to it.
High praise for this book if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Brilliant !

This is the fourth Maeve Binchy audiobook I have listened to . It was absolutely brilliant. As with the other books I feel I now know the characters. I liked the way some of the ones from other books appeared in it . So enjoyable - laughed and cried. Story was read beautifully.

Another wonderful Maeve Binchy story

I love Maeve Binchy books. Quentins is a really lovely story that weaves characters from her other books into the plot which, is wonderful. Of all the Maeve Binchy audio-books, I really prefer the one's narrated by Kate Binchy. But, as an American, I find her version of an American Accent grates on my nerves a bit. She seems to think Americans always pronounce T's as D's; so some of the words come out sounding very odd indeed. But, apart from that, the narration is great and I often find I can't stop listening. Maeve Binchy's books are so rich in stories that lift up your heart as well as sometimes bringing a tear to your eye. Quentins is not different. I highly recommend.
