Summary

Hi. My name’s Joe, and yeah...I’m a plumber.

Things were going just fine, until I got pulled into this crazy fantasy world by a genie who seemed to think I was this “Hero of Legend”.

Now I have to collect all the princesses of Fairyland, bind them to me using this crazy...uhhh...kinky...uhhhh...“ritual”, and then use their combined powers to defeat the evil demon Chernabog.

I guess you could call this a magical pipe-laying adventure.

Worst story by Eric by far!

I will try to give a serious review to this ridiculous book.

The plot takes place in " One Thousand and One Nights" some years after Ali Baba dies (which the princess constantly nags about). Princess Jasmine (or whatever) is attacked by zombie and she uses a genie to summon a plumber. The plumber need to marry 7 princess to save the world. Listened to 5 min and hated the story. Wish i knew this before i bought the book!!!

This is the worst story telling by Eric by far. The characters and dialogue is ilogical and contradictory all the time. First example is 5 min after the plumber is summon. A zombie climbs a balcony 2 guards and a "warrior" princess jumps back in fear (after years of war), then the plumber knocks it down with a wrench. Second example is when they get Ali's magic carpet. They don't know how to use it and are to scared to try it. 5 min later they take it up the same balcony and lift it 300 feet into the air (really). Oh yeah, they need to hold hands to use magic... Won't even talk about the dialogue or the endless thoughts.

I powered through for about 3 hours to get to the marial ritual. Under which period the author gives ridiculous light sexual teasing of hugs and chivalry. Then the princess wants to get tied up and deep throated. OMFG - lame!

I gave the perfomance a 3 star, because I didn't like (or thought i match) that the princess had a ghetto style latino accent.

I won't waste any more money on Eric's book unless there is alot of review (ps. you need alot so you can se past the Eric fan clubs 15 5 star review).

Dumb characters fumble through everything.

The princess fumbles through everything. Her lack of knowledge on her powers or the carpet. Weird since her husband, aka knockoff Aladin flew it all the time. They are walking this whole way carrying boxes full of armor and gear and shoes? it's hard enough to cross a desert without all of that. I feel like this book was not thought out very well. I can't even call it cheesy smut since the MC hasn't even dipped his Wick yet.

narration on point and the voices are beautiful.

An ok version of adult Disney

My biggest issue with this story and the author in general is his sex scenes. Normally there is no building but straight into fantasy. For example there is a bonding ritual in this story which is sexual. This ritual also forms bonds of marriage so it should be special. Instead of it being special a moment between the MC and his new wife it gets turned into a teenage boy's fantasy. I find that it takes away from the story. These type of sexual fantasies should not be in the beginning of the relationship building but a few books into the series. I feel even in fantasy books there should still be some signs of realism when it comes to building characters and the bonds that form friendships and relationships.

Neat Concept but the Execution...

I am a fan of Eric's works, and I went into this expecting the same level of storytelling and narrative quality as I experience in his Making Monster Girls, but it just fell short. The entire concept of a Mario-like plumber going to save Disney princesses was hilarious and something I was looking forward to hearing but, after listening to the first hour or so and hearing the vapid nature of the Jasmine drop-in character, I just could not take it. I was expecting a lot more from the princess character and like some other reviews said the way she was portrayed just made it painful to listen to her, regardless of the excellent job that Marissa Parness does in her voice.

Unfortunately, as much as I like Eric's work this series is one I'll have to pass on. I'll keep going with Making Monster Girls or some of his other works.

Aladdin vibes

There are parts of the story where it seems like the author grab ideas from from cartoon Disney film Aladdin. Flying carpets, a tiger, and a ex husband named Ali. Other than that it was a great listen
