At first I was unsure about this book but it got going about 1/3 of the way through and I enjoyed it after that point.

not sure if the author got better as it went on to but little works that got me at first didn't occur towards the end of the book.

bit of a slow start, and it took a few hours to get used to the narrator.

did enjoy it a lot and have now finished all 8 audios.

if you like stories about vrmmorpg with real-world consequences, you should enjoy this.

some of the audios are shorter than I would normally go for, but the storytelling was great for translation into English.

I have read and listened to hundreds of books and I just have to say that this series is absolutely fantastic, it's one of the best series that I have come across yet. it's like ready player one meets Skyrim meets D&D it's just absolutely fantastic.

there is a lot of world building and character building that goes on in the first few books but it's easy to keep up with and don't be alarmed if you do not like the main character initially as this is meant to be a journey of Character development and he changes quite a lot throughout the books.

all of the characters have depth and personality and the world of Ascension that has been built in these books is full of life and and wonder I am hanging on every single word and I just cannot wait for the next book I'm so excited for it give this a go you will not regret it.

Disjointed story, unrealistic (game-wise) level progression, impossible victories in combat with improbable monsters.
