Summary

Pineapple Port Mysteries by Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Amy Vansant, is a funny, clean, small-town, female amateur sleuth series, but with all the pulse-pounding excitement of a detective thriller. Every book in the series can be listened to as a standalone. Pineapple Podcast is packed full of Pineapple Port surprises!

Enter the series at any book - each is a complete standalone mystery!

Charlotte hunts a killer with a curious cookie-cutter calling card who seems to be out to impress the local true-crime podcaster. The work keeps her from concentrating on the fact her boyfriend has been acting strange...it seems Declan is ready to make a few major life decisions.

Meanwhile, Mariska and Darla take over a local restaurant while the owner's out of town, and can't help but add a few things to the menu… bad idea, since the owner belongs to a true crime club that roots for the killers...

Mix in an earbud-wearing puppy, a starry-eyed deputy, and white-knuckle action and you'll find yourself wanting to move to Pineapple Port...again!

The puppy on the cover has the right idea

The puppy on the cover of this book has the right idea. Sit back with your earphones on and enjoy, oh and try not to laugh out loud too much. There are some authors that you know when you pick up there book you are going to be in for a treat and this author is just one of those authors. Once again Amy combines humour with a great and unusual mystery, that doesn't disappoint the listener. I loved it both as a kindle and an audio book. I have been a big fan of this series from the start and somehow it still seems to get better and better. As the characters and relationships have grown so has the enjoyment. The mystery was certainly different and with a number of twist, I had no idea how it would end. The author wrote a major plot twist in the last book when she killed off the main protagonist and I wasn't sure she would top that but she did and I am eagerly awaiting the next book to see what changes are in store for the wonderful group of whacky characters.
Charlotte is called in to help Frank with a new case. The body and clues have been staged reminding Charlotte of another killer, one that she knows is dead. Could the puzzle killer be back? Or worse her daughter? Charlotte knows it's not possible and yet. The dead mans girlfriend is a super fan of Charlotte's or at least the podcast featuring her last case. Then another body is found with a connection to the blogger and Charlotte fears for her safety. Is the blogger the target or her fans? At the same time Mariska and Darla are left in charge of a French restaurant and when the Chief's unusual cookie cutters and knife goes missing they ask Charlotte to help. She makes a startling discovery that will have her and Declan running for there lives and a killer.
I like the narrator. She is entertaining with all the different voices she uses to keep the humour going.
