This is an emotional one for me, but I think it's important. Toxic relationships are awful, and they cause a lot of trauma inside and outside the relationship. But people get stuck and have trouble getting out. If you know someone like that, I highly recommend "Overcome Toxic Relationships" by Raffael Lyon. The BREATHE method that Lyon proposes is a fantastic tool that can help someone rebuild their sense of self after being ground down by emotional abuse. It covers topics like emotional boundaries, self-respect, self-care, and self-empowerment; it's a true "self-help" book.

The narration is excellent, and it should appeal to anyone who needs an extra bit of comfort to help them start making changes to their mindset and habits. I wish someone close to me had had this one several years ago - it would have made their life so much easier. Nevertheless, this audiobook is sure to help many people going forward, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to recover from a toxic relationship.

Having been through a toxic relationship, I know firsthand how easy it is to feel trapped, alone, and uncertain about what’s happening. This audiobook breaks down the various ways a relationship can become toxic, from emotional manipulation to more subtle forms of abuse that many of us might not even recognize. I wish I had known about these signs earlier in my life.
What I really liked was how the book not only helped me understand the dynamics of toxic relationships but also gave me the tools to reclaim my life. I thought the information in this book could truly save someone's life. The author covers the different ways a relationship can become toxic, and different types of abuse one might face. I thought that was really helpful because most of us wouldn't even know if we were being abused. The author discusses why we find ourselves in these situations, how to get out of them, how to create boundaries with people, and how to love ourselves and set new standards for our relationships. The exercises and recommendations are particularly helpful, and they're easy to follow along with as you listen to the audio. I highly recommend this one.
