About this listen

Ryan Kaine is on the rocks . . .

Fueled by his guilt at the loss of eighty-three civilians onboard aircraft BE1555, international fugitive Ryan Kaine vows to protect their grieving families—The 83—at all costs. When schoolboy Martin Princeton lies alone and dying on a Scottish mountainside, news of his disappearance spurs Kaine to abandon the pursuit of evidence that could clear his name. Officially, the authorities want Kaine in custody—unofficially, there's a bounty on his head. Still hampered by injuries from events that turned him into the most wanted man in Europe, Kaine must convince the mountain rescue team of his good intentions and find out everything he can about Martin's disappearance . . . before they discover who Kaine really is.

I recently finished "On the Rocks" by Kerry J. Donovan, and I'm thrilled to say it lived up to the excitement of its predecessor, "On the Run"! The story continues to follow Ryan Kaine, who is now an international fugitive, as he navigates through new challenges and moral dilemmas. The action is relentless, and the plot twists keep you hooked from start to finish.

Gildart Jackson returns as the narrator, and once again, his performance is outstanding. His ability to convey the emotions and intensity of the story is unmatched. I've listened to many audiobooks, but Jackson's narration stands out as the best I've heard.

I'm already eagerly anticipating the next title in the series. The recurring themes and character development have created a compelling narrative arc that leaves me excited for what's to come.

Another Thrilling Ride with Ryan Kaine!

Loved this as much as the first instalment. Exciting, a relatable hero and I love all Gildart Jackson’s narrations.
Why do some folk always want to decry novels by comparing them to other series? I’m a huge fan of Lee Child and love his writing style, equally I’m also a huge fan of John Connolly but would never compare the two series - they are very different, quite distinct and both wonderful. I simply take pleasure in most of the audiobooks I buy without needing to compare them. Variety being the spice etc.
Personally I can’t wait for the next instalment in the Ryan Kaine series. Grateful thanks to Kerry J Donovan.

Great fun

The continuation of the narrative from the first book is both cleverly woven and artfully told - the story line is both captivating and suspenseful- truly another good listen ….. next :)

Outstanding

Excellent tale, flows well and believable. Narration also excellent. The only irritation is the beginning of each chapter gives the location and its spelt in detail, probably wouldn’t notice it in written form but read out each time is a bit tedious

Gripping
