Love this series of books, but this one failed to keep me interested. Nothing exciting happened and Kaine dealt with the bad guys without any real effort. It was a struggle to finish

Great story, well delverd, with humour thrown in for good measure. An all out pleasure to listen to audios equivalent of a page turner.

I kind of love these books because they usually have a good pace and direction, and the accents (Corky for example) are not too bad...well...they are tolerable because they are amusing. However, in this book the pacing is all over the place and being a fluent Norwegian speaker and having extensive knowledge of the other Scandi languages the Danish accents in this book were just too far off. He does do quite a good South African though!! At one point I felt like my brain was going to melt if he mispronounced Århus (Orehoose in English) one more time! I mean come ON, it's not rocket science and all it takes is a tiny bit of research - especially when it's a word that turns up dozens of times!
Yeah, not one of my faves this one, but I manage my expectations and it was still fun.
