It's all hands on deck as flu sweeps through Grey's Hollow and Sheriff Bree Taggert is on the hunt for a serial killer in the small town.

Once again, she relies on the skills of Investigator Matt Flynn in helping her work towards solving and apprehending possible suspects.

I love Bree's leadership style. How she won't ask any of her deputies to undertake a task she isn't prepared to do herself.

This novel has an undercurrent of domestic violence which might be problematic for some readers but probably fairly standard for sheriff departments I'd imagine.

All in all another successful investigation for Sheriff Taggert and another winner from Melinda Leigh.

Excellent crime drama. The odd red fish just to make it interesting, nice to see karma at work. Not sure I would want to live in the area.

Bree and Matt are once again sucked into a horrifying and brutal case that not only has you questioning all of humanity, but that also eats at your soul. Innocent lives cut short by monsters that show no remorse makes it very difficult for anyone to continue their daily lives with no impact, but for Bree and Matt who know life can change from one second to the next, they know they need to keep their heads in the game so they can safely return to the kids who need them. The family they are building is beautiful, it may not be built by blood, but it is built with love and includes Dana, Cady, Todd and Matt's parents, it is awesome to see just how much the kids have opened up and grown in confidence over the past year.
An amazing, but haunting, read on Kindle Unlimited.
