I love seeing the crossover between work and family life, Bree has a delicate balancing act between the two, and maybe her brother has finally found someone to love him as Matt loves her? It's early days but I cannot wait to see if another romance blossoms.

Melinda Leigh is new to me and OMG I LOVE HER! I love her ability to make each series so incredibly different, the characters, the stories, the environments and their lives. It's like reading different authors' books. Pure talent ❤️👌
The Bree Taggart series is completely different to the Morgan Dane Series (Which I've just started. I've listened to the first 2 books in that series so far)
This book.... like WOW! Something would happen after the main crime and Bree and her partner investigate, solve that part and another mysterious discovery linked to the original crime pops up... and this happens another couple of times going forward in the book. Then just when you think they have investigated everything and you've figured it out... another MAJOR discovery pops up, and that absolutely turns the whole case on its head with an amazing twist at the end! I didn't see that coming!
I listened to this book, not realising this was actually Book 8 in a series! I will be going back to book 1 to catch up. I love the characters and the family dynamics.
Superbly written, excellent narrator. I felt like we knew every single character, even down to the cat and the dog in the story!
Easily one of the best books I've listened to and filed in my favourites, so I can listen again after hearing the previous 7 😌
