Summary

Jess and Mason begin their search for Faison and find themselves in a world where everything is turned upside down. Jess' relationship with Lucifer takes a turn she didn't expect, which prompts God to give her a mission she's not sure she'll survive.

This series is intended for a mature audience. Recommended for ages 17 and older due to sexual situations and adult themes.

If I were to use the movie rating system, I would rate this series an R.

Starting to stray from good ploy to sappy relationships

Okay...we I am still wondering how the story will end but losing interest in the storyline....
It is VERY unrealistic to think about sex in the middle of a major crisis.. I thought the story was about saving humanity and turned into trying to lose ones virginity ....in the middle possible Armageddon
Not to mention...., these fallen Angels don't seem to be crucial to the story nor have they learned their lesson from their Father as they are putting their own desires over saving the world. Who the heck cares if one has a girlfriend if the world is ending shortly

Twilight with Angels

Fantastic concept ruined by a twilight style romance. Silly, sappy prose that drags on forever. Fantastic Narrator. Do not recommend.

Love it

This Story is well constructed. I love the characters. I can’t remember any corse language. There is violence, but doesn’t go into gory details. The story does touch on molestation. Narrator Brittany Pressley brings the characters alive with their own individual unique voice. And I really enjoy her telling the story. Speed is set at 1.4 x Real enjoying this series. This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher free of charge for a honest, unbiased review.

Leaves you wanting more ACTUAL story

Just too much sex, there it is I said it. Wish we had more background story and more time with all the vessels than freaking Jess and mason getting “matches” ***BIG EYE-ROLL***

Too much Sex...Not enough story

I have throughly enjoyed this series, however, this book turns away from the great storytelling to focus on sex and sexual acts. I certainly hope the next story gains back its grasp on actual story telling.

Decent story, great narration..

Wow! The first book was so good but the last 2 were barely okay. Good grief, Mason and Jess were constantly in heat. It became ridiculous. At least a little excitement went on, in-between their sex-capades. I'm glad book 4 will be the last one. Hopefully, this will be the battle and they won't have time to have sex again and again. No swearing to speak of but sex, sex and more sex. As for the narration: Brittnay Pressley is all that kept me listening. She was awesome!

This gets more interesting

Listened to the book again and I still rate this as PG-13 for the descriptiveness of violence and sex, which I consider to be relatively tame. Again, this book and series has an interesting and creative storyline that isn’t overly romantic or gory. This is an author to watch and I VERY MUCH hope she partners with a good editor for future efforts. Still not impressed with Jess’ lack of Emotional Maturity and Intelligence. There’s a lot of Oh Jess You’re So Wonderful, but very little of Jess appreciating her fellow Vessels. -Spoilers- In book 3, Jess and Mason travel through the Tear to retrieve Faison from alternate reality Earth. Mason learns what happened to Watchers and humans in a reality where he was killed in the heavenly wars and had no direct impact on Earth. This goes a long way to healing his scar. The bonus in their travel is finding the fourth vessel, Leah and her Guardian who were sent to alternate Earth by mistake. I think West had some fun creating her alternate Earth versions of Malcolm and Brand. On return to Prime Earth, Jess and Mason finally consummate their love; Leah is settled with MamaLynn; the group tracks down Vessels 5 Rafe and 6 Zach; Jess tries to get Lucifer to ask God’s forgiveness and accept his repaired crown. Pressley does a very decent job of narration.
