Don't waste your time

I had high hopes for this book series after the first book. But they just go downhill and don't redeem themselves. It was actually a struggle to finish it and I found myself fast forwarding for the first time ever in an audiobook.

This books reads off as though a horny teenager wrote it. Seriously, the main characters have sex, a lot. That's not even the problem. It's that it's childish and does add anything to the story. If anything, it just draws away from what is actually a decent plot.

I finished the books only because I wanted to see how the main story played out. You have all these great characters, but half are underdeveloped because half of this series is the two main characters having sex (or as they call it, getting matches, cause they are adults). Literally this series could have been two books instead of four.

Don't waste your time on these.

TOO MUCH MATCHES!

Any additional comments?

I loved the Watchers Trilogy and the first two books in this series but I can't even finish this last book as I have completely lost interest. I feel like maybe there wasn't much storyline for this one and all of the annoying matches were just thrown in there as filler? Super disappointing. I really wanted to finish but I am so sick of the constant repetition of Jess and Mason getting matches I'm not willing to wait through anymore of that to see what happens in the end. I hate to give one of my favorite authors this rating but I have to be honest.

bit of a cliffhanger ending but im glad there’s more!

after complaining about the last book and rolling my eyes during this one sooo many times over alllll the professions of love, i found myself feeling stupid over crying at the end. although, i think maybe that was in part due to my feelings toward God and my own destiny. makes ya think...

Conclusion to Chronicles but story continues in Trilogy

The Watcher Chronicles was an amazing story. It’s very Young Adult to Teen. The battle with Lucifer is over but we are still left with a cliffhanger as Gabe has a vision and the 7 are now needing to figure out what the vision means. There is a major loose end for me that may be answered in the next trilogy.... What are they going to do with the president??? All in all I enjoyed this series but I don’t think enough to continue to the trilogy. Maybe if my to be listened to list gets low I will start the trilogy but feel I need a break for now.

Meh ugh argh sigh

JESS NEEDS MEDICATION AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD A THERAPIST! I wish S.J. West added that Jess went to therapy after her abuse as a child and her abandonment issues. Leah seems to be more mature and rational than Jess. I hated how she treated Remy when she first met him in book 3. Jess is very judgemental rude and annoying. And WTF is up with all the sex? I mean getting matches?Like dude I’m a self professed perv but this was overkill ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh

These books has become increasingly harder to complete. I look forward to finishing Jess’ portion of this series.

FANTASTIC narration

This narrator is incredibly versatile. Does a great job making the individual characters distinctive voices, including accents, for both male & female characters.

Good story line

These books have a good storyline however the girl spends way too much time crying and getting in bed. It seems like most of the book is just her putting them into bed to have sex and it doesn’t really have anything to do with the actual story. On the third but I skipped from like chapter 3 clear to the end just so that I could get past all the sex and crying and feeling poor pitiful me is part just so I could find out what happens.

Wonderful series

I love how all the watcher books and different series just enhances each world more and more. I get to revisit the main characters I have come to love. One of the best performances I have heard on audible. Wide range of natural sounding voices. I don’t understand why audible doesn’t have the alternate earth series but has all the other ones!!! Need to read these series in the order they were meant to be done. Although the author did say that I could read the redemption series before the alternate earth series. Love these worlds and series’s!

What a tear jerker!

** Spoilers** Loved this book and the ending nearly undid me! Yes, there was a lot more sex in this one but it wasn't poorly done. The epilogue was so sweet and was glad that Mason and Jess get their HEA which includes their wedding and upcoming baby. I didn't read the books with Lilly and Brand story but I will for sure be reading Aidan's live story with their daughter and of course the books with Malcolm's story as well.
