New author for me...not sure how I found this book, but thank you to all the reviewers (you do a better job than me!) which really sold this. I took a punt, as I needed a book to listen to whilst travelling and because you can’t go wrong with narrator Greg Boudreaux, and bought this book. Wow! I absolutely loved the story which was well woven and gripping and the main characters, well, you’d really want them in your corner! Obviously this is just the beginning for this newly forged ‘family’ and I can’t wait for their next investigative adventure. In the mean time, I’m on the hunt for more from Jenn Burke!

I found this series while looking for books narrated by Greg. I figured if he narrated it it couldn't be all that bad. I am SO glad I decided to try it! Jenn Burke has definitely become one of my one-click-buy authors. Now I just have to dig out my Kindle to read the novels not yet on audible. Awesome book!

I was looking through for books Greg narrated and came across this . I’m glad I took a chance as it was so good the plot kept me guessing and wanting more and I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

To say that I LOVED this book would be a massive understatement.

I loved all the MCs, Wes, Evan, Lexie, Cat... Hudson was a massive douchebag at the start, so it did take me a while to warm to him, but he did have his reasons!

But, once he gave up the DB act & simply became a gruff, grumpy sod... he was so lovable!

This was so good, that I honestly didn't even miss the lack of spice. It fit the story beautifully & when we did get some, it fit in with this lovable duo's energy 😍

Their relationship progression felt natural. Rather than jumping straight into old habits & how things were. They worked through (begrudgingly in Hudson's part 😂) through their issues, reacquainted themselves, repaired their friendship & as a result also their relationship!

This was funny, fun, exciting, intriguing, there was mystery, action, discovery, adoption (of a sort 🤗) & the start of a beautiful family of Supernaturals... I hope Cat also becomes an active member.

I thoroughly recommend it, it covers so many subjects, both dark, deep, sad, happy & everything else in between, but it all just flows naturally & beautifully 👍👍👍
