Poaching a god's legacy is a dangerous game. But for Alex, it's the only one worth playing.

Alex has done what the Outworlders would have thought to be impossible. He and Claire established Mirrorwane—a town so powerful that its Mirrorlands reflected version possesses its own abilities—and claimed the very first kill on a Tier 1 World's Region Boss.

The gap between Alex's people and the Outworlders is closing faster than anyone could have thought possible. But all their advantages will mean nothing if he doesn't keep pressing them.

And when a massive Ancestry, an ancient dungeon bearing the legacy of a dead god, opens its doors—he gets an invite that he can't refuse. An offer to temporarily join forces with one of the Great Families and be granted access to the riches of the dungeon.

Entering a deadly dungeon surrounded by the forces of all the people who hate him most on 274-50 might be the most foolish thing he's ever done. He's more than aware that they're just planning on using him as bait. But Alex has never been one to back down from a challenge.

And the Outworlders made one crucial error. They have no idea how much stronger Alex has grown since the last time they'd seen him, and he has no intention of letting them use him like a tool.

While the Great Families all bicker with each other, his goal is simple.

Steal a god's legacy from right out under their noses.

As usual Actud has cooked with these books, very satisfying to meet both new and returning characters and get some nice lore updates along the way.

The narrator also did another fantastic job, he reallt helps make the charactera feel truly unique.

Another strong entry

I have liked the series so far but I feel the beginning of the book was focused more on cultivation then actually getting the story going.
I was afraid that it would take the same turn as some other series going too deep into the cultivation route but after some hours into the book it picks up and has great progression of both story and characters.

Slow start but then great!

can't wait for the next book, just gets better and better, actus Is a generational talent, what a wonderful story

brilliant storytelling

Narration is annoyingly bad with almost comically bad attempts at female characters voices and every sentence has unnatural intonation with emphasis on seemingly random words like he’s never spoken normally before.

Sentences don’t flow together like they’ve all been read in complete isolation and read to be as dramatic as possible regardless how f content or context, having the same upward intonation at the end.

Sadly it really detracts from enjoying the story, which is compelling and fun if a little two dimensional and emotionally stunted, Casual escapism with an OP MC, par for the course in this genre

Good story, shame about the voice actor
