"With Ms. Rice's skill for mixing humor, emotional intensity, and sensuality with a touch of the supernatural, Must Be Magic is a highly recommended read and a 'keeper.'" (RT Book Reviews)

Loved this fantastical nonsense. it takes you, instantly, into another world. Looking forward to listening to the next one.

Even better than the first book

Absolutely superb writing. I cannot fault it at all. Patricia Rice showcases the narrative beautifully.

However, all that was overshadowed by how boring the story was. There wasn't enough dialogue, and the little there was was mostly boring. The narrative was relentless, most of which was ramblings and repetitions. The characters were many, confusing, and uninspiring. The story dragged, but there were a few snatched scenes/moments of interest.

This is the first novel I have ever listened to or read where the male lead comes across as a loser, and not very bright.

Greg Wagland is usually a good narrator, but, not sure what it was, but even he didn't impact this novel in any way.

To be honest, I zoned out a few times, particularly towards the end, and I couldn't wait for the story to end.

Not great!

I'll listen to another novel by Patricia Rice; I just hope it will be something more engaging.
